I have travelled the world, and seen many places. I have experienced this wonderful hotel many time, and will continue to do so whenever I go to Estes. There are few places that have a staff as committed/caring to make guest feel like family, as long as the guest isn't rude/demanding. The staff Chad Manager and Sam staff will be your best friend as long as you are not rude/demanding to them. If youre rude to them, they likely will still help and be respectful to you, but are less likely to bend over backwards for you. You'll get 120% of their effort rather than 160%. Any complaint you see on this list likely comes from a "Karen", or someone who expect everything to be given to them because they complain. They will carry your luggage for you, give you candy/food that the staff personally pays for/cooks, go golfing with you, etc. They will greet you with a Hey how's it going Jon (personal) rather than a good evening Mr. Johnson (non personal). Want a corporate company stay at a Hilton/Stanley. Want to be apart of the family stay at Silver Moon Inn. Saying these things, the hotel is not without its flaws. But I assure you, if you present concerns to the staff in a peaceful/non demanding manner, they are likely more willing to bend their policy to help you. If you present concerns in a demanding manner/Karen why would they want to bend policy for you/or have you come back? Who in what line of customer service likes a guest that yells at you, demands free comp rooms because a lightbulb was out? The place fills up every year for a reason, It's a one of a kind place. If you have never been before, I recommend you try. Repeat guest that hasn't been for a while give them a call. Thanks Chad and Sam for being the best!…
Good - location Bad - charged $50 to change from Saturday to Sunday during low season (Sunday less expensive) Ugly - mouse poop in tub and in kitchen (no room check prior to our visit?) - front desk staffer did not have a mask (signs all over property mandating masks due to covid protocals ) Forgot his at home ... none on property/ front desk? * Property manager did credit the $50 surcharge but did not refund the night's stay or offer another night to compensate for lack of customer service or uncleanliness
Loved our stay at Silver Moon Inn. It was in a great location. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Short drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. The Inn is located on a beautiful property directly on the river with swings and picnic tables for guests to enjoy the view. Our room was big, clean and comfortable. There is no elevator so next time I will request a room on the ground floor. Plenty of amenities including breakfast, snacks and s’mores by the fire pit at night. I would definitely stay here again if back in the area.
Our family of three adults and a Labrador spent 12/24-12/26 in room 102 which is one of four pet friendly rooms. We were thrilled with the cleanliness and appearance of the room! It even smelled fresh. The beds were comfortable, the refrigerator was larger than I expected. We had fun toasting s’mores by the fire pit. Dish TV is offered. WiFi rated 6/10. The location is ideal... we walked several times to the main town which has many gift shops and restaurants. This is a family run business of 20 years. You will not go wrong by booking your stay.
Perfect location! Clean, comfortable rooms. We will def stay again! I never write reviews but I wanted to because if you’re unfamiliar with the area and want somewhere that’s convenient to walk into the cute little town or super close to RMNP, this place is for you!
