We stayed 4 nights here in our pop up camper. The sites are quite small, pop ups, tents and very small campers only. Our site was cozy, but nice. We were close to 2 very nice bathrooms and close to the playground. Our kids enoyed...More

We stayed a couple nights at the campsite. The tent "pads" are gravel so the rain from earlier in the day didn't cause a muddy mess, but the pad was soft enough. It's a busy campground, so not great if you want to feel secluded....More

This was our first time camping in Colorado. We loved this campground. The bathhouse was clean and well kept. The mule deer and elk frequented our campground which we loved. The staff was helpful but unobtrussive. We will return.

So close, yet feels so far away from the hustle and bustle of Estes Park. This very popular campground is located at an elevation of 8,300 feet at the end of a beautiful road just west of town. There are wonderful ...More views of the snow covered peaks in Rocky Mountain National Park and access to the East Portal Reservoir which has ample opportunities for fishing. This double loop campground offers shady sites suitable for tenters and campers with small RVs and trailers shorter than 24 feet in length. It is especially well-suited for families and outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore nearby nature and trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. Sites at this campground open up to views of Rocky Mountain National Park and starry nighttime skies. A mature blend of ponderosa and lodgepole pines interspersed with groves of aspens makes it a wonderful home away from home. It is an ideal setting for guests seeking recreation and relaxation. The camping season runs from May 15th - October 3rd. Less

The Bear Boxes are meant to be shared between 2 or 3 campsites. They have a chain with a hook closure. I never used one when I was there last summer - I kept my food in my trunk in an ice chest and it was fine.
