The best part of our stay during the virus challenge period, was that the hotel is still run by a family team. Kind of interesting when the hotel is part of corporate America! Here is what I liked: Reception and front-team response was immediate and friendly. We called down to the front desk, they answered quickly and appeared at our room in ~5 minutes to resolve an issue. Here is what I did not appreciate: Location. The hotel is located on an old fashioned designed strip-mall street. Very busy and outdated, like the hotel. To be honest out of all the hotels, this is one of the better ones, but it's still only average (my rating). The whole street is being renovated, except Quality Inn. They did theirs already! Breakfast was reasonable and I liked the fact that the team wanted to serve, despite the virus restrictions. The menu is still based on processed food, which has zero nutrients for the consumer. Room: Says fits 6-8 people, but really if you count the beds (3) it's 6 people if you put 2 people in every bed. I guess you would have to stretch your imagination and bring in a cot etc. to make the extra 2 people. We did not like that the bathroom was tiny and the basin was outside the bathroom and right on top of the rear facing entry door. No privacy. Service: Due to the virus situation, there were a lot of changes made. Like no one will clean your room for the week unless your request it. Same goes for sundries, like towels and toilet rolls - you have to request it. This hotel is relatively expensive. Compared to travelling all over the world and living in several countries. I guess the cost was based on season (Summer), room size and location - not too far from the Rocky Mountain National Park (20 minutes). Would I stay here again? Probably, I say that, mostly because of the hotel family recognition - they even send you a Christmas card after your stay. Still the hotel needs to be updated to the 21st century design. The room I stayed in wouldn't work for someone that would need assistance, or physically challenged.

We are happy you stayed with us. I am concerned about the number of people that the website says the loft, or family unit can accommodate. It is 6 with all beds used and then only 1 more extra bed or crib. The total amount is 7 not 8 people. So, thank you for bringing that to our attention. Now we are having housingkeeping on demand. If you want housekeeping, then you leave the note at the front desk or on your door. I am confused about the breakfast, since our scrambled eggs are fresh. Thank you for noticing that we are family owned and operated. We have 4 generations (at times) working or visiting the hotel. Having never stayed in a Quality Inn before, I only hoped all the positive reviews I had read were true about this location. Thankfully, we arrived to find a very clean room (we stayed in a family suite). Due to Covid, they were doing breakfast a bit differently, but we found it to be very efficient. Location is fabulous--it's right in the middle of Estes Park and nothing is far away. I would absolutely stay here again.

We spent 5 days here and had an excellent stay. This was our 6th time here and we will definitely be back. We stayed in the 2 story unit which gave us plenty of room to spread out. It was quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast was great! The view in the whole area is awesome as you can see from this picture from Lily Lake. We will be back again!

After a wonderful stay at the river side villa at the Landing, we just needed one night before our flight out (the landing was full), so we chose quality inn based on the good reviews. However, it turns out the one star reviews were much more accurate. Since there are three of us (friends) traveling, we booked two different rooms on hotels.com, not realizing different types of rooms meant different buildings, even though both reservations were under the same name. Jeff and the owner who is a female were at the front desk. They were condescending from the moment we walked in. When I realized the rooms were in different buildings, I asked nicely to see if we could possibly be in the same building, but was told it wasn’t their problem since hotels.com didn’t reserve the rooms that way. When I tried to explain that it didn’t matter which type of two rooms they were, I was cut off, and was told by Jeff “do you not speak English? I know you speak English, we are full. If you wanted two room together, you should have booked two rooms together!” At which point, I was definitely annoyed by their condescension, and raised my voice slightly and said, fine, then just give us the two key cards. No swearing, no name calling, just raised my voice. That’s the point the female owner chimed in and said they don’t need the business and to cancel our reservation. So they did, even after two calls from hotels.com gold member customer service, I was told the “the hotel said management took care of it and refuse to discuss any further”. I must say for years of traveling, this is the first time something like this has happened to me. I’m sure she’s right that she didn’t need our business in the busy Estes park, but she has no concern with other people, canceling a reservation last minute knowing that we probably won’t be able to get another one the same night since it’s a Friday. It was probably meant to be, since there was smoke rolling in from the fire, but we had to stay in Boulder instead tonight. Unfortunately hotels.com does not let us specify the room during the booking, so that is a drawback of a third party booking agent, but if you don’t want to have the risk of having your reservation canceled the same day, maybe choose a different hotel. Like I said, I didn’t even know this could happen prior to today.

My husband and I celebrated our 30 th year anniversary there. The room was big with lots of space, above all else it was very clean and well managed. We had a room with a balcony and the view was fantastic, everything was in good working condition. We would stay there again.
