My family and friends had a marvelous Thanksgiving stay at the Stanley. The staff was fabulous and the Aiden Sinclair show was extremely enjoyable...Classical entertainment in a very historic venue! Who could ask for more?

We had a good time at the Stanley hotel. It was very interesting to see and really is well kept. I enjoyed learning the history of the building and the ghost stories, although we didn't experience any paranormal activity ourselves. The outdoor area is beautiful and the rooms are quite nice. For some reason my allergies did act up a... More

We stayed at the Stanley Hotel in July and although we had booked at the Stanley Hotel proper they told us that they were full and then given a room at the Lodge which is also a part of the Stanley hotel. The guy checking us in told us that the Lodge was more modern and better. It quickly became... More

My wife wanted to stay here for two reasons: the ghosts and The Shining. I was also interested about The Shining. The hotel looks great and the mountains it's surrounded by are really majestic. The hotel is full of interesting history. But it's expensive for what it offered us. Small, old-fashioned and uncomfortable room in the 4th floor.

You cannot beat the location and the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are small but typical for the period and well appointed. Bathroom could use some updating but worked fine. The bed was pretty but the large dips were very uncomfortable. The room and hallways were stifling hot. Luckily our windows opened and we slept with both wide open and... More

Just spent 2 nights at the Stanley Hotel in the old part. Lots of ambience and hotel has attempted to keep it the way it was in the beginning. Room was comfortable with big old fashioned furniture. Only complaint was the heating wasn't working correctly. But they worked on it immediately, a really nice Venezuelan who is head of maintenance... More

This is an old hotel that is well maintained and a fun place to visit. It has charming staircases, quaint nooks, expansive entry way and an old world charm. As a result of its age it comes with old property quirks! You can hear your neighbors upstairs and in the hall ways and the heat is hard to regulate. You... More

Stanley Hotel is a beautiful hotel. We went because we wanted to go on the ghost tours and explore this famous landmark. Chad the Guest Ambassador was a great help in finding local hot spots to eat and shop. The only downfall to this location is it is getting very built up around the hotel which is ruining the tranquility... More

A couple weeks ago, my girlfriend and I went to Estes Park for vacation and stayed at The Stanley. She didn't know it, but I had come up with a plan to propose to her during our stay and the staff at The Stanley helped me to pull off the surprise! There was a REDRUM Murder Mystery dinner scheduled that... More

The Stanley is known for "The Shining" though the movie wasn't filmed there. But it is a grand hotel from a time long ago. It is elegant, well appointed, and historic. Our room was in The Lodge next door to the main hotel building. We took a tour of the grounds, which was very informative and well rehearsed by our... More
