Beautiful view out my door, but i had a few challenges. I told the hotel twice that I would be arriving late, after 8pm. Nadia said she'd leave my room open. I arrived at 8:45 pm & was locked out. It was cold and very dark. I was very disappointed. The floors above me are definitely hard floors with no insulation, sounds like people are clog dancing up there and I can even hear the people upstairs talking. Doesn't make for a peaceful stay. After a day of touring, I was tired and wanted to watch a show. The TV wasn't working. I called the hotel at 5pm. I really thought they would send someone down to troubleshoot for me, as is usual and customary. Not only did she tell me there's no one on site (now I feel unsafe as well as feeling that the customer service is less than desirable, ) but she said, "Welcome to Lubec," in a sarcastic tone. I told her I was giving up, she told me that she was trying to help. I let her know that her comment wasn't helpful. Not only is the customer service lacking, but cleaning and maintenance leaves a bit to be desired. The plastic blinds are broken, people can see into my room and the cleaning person has obviously never cleaned behind the bathroom door. The towels are dingy and I wouldn't use one of the washcloths because it felt stiff, like it was used. Just a little background on this reviewer before you think I'm an entitled white woman: I've backpack traveled solo across Europe for a month long trip and SE Asia for a 9 month trip. I've been to India as a budget traveler twice. Once for 3 weeks and once for 2 months. I've done a medical services trip to Guatemala. I spent an entire season in Denali as a seasonal worker listening to guests be less than grateful about their surroundings. We ran out of a lot of food by the end of the season and basically ate rice & beans for the last 10 days. I worked on the Navajo Nation in people's homes for 2 years. I'm a traveling medical professional so I travel the U.S. a lot. I'm a grateful person in general. Just couldn't give this place 5 stars.

Interesting location; excellent views and very nice room. Former sardine processing plant turned into a motel. The newer specially built rooms are nicer, but all have great views. On-site seasonal restaurant is a plus in a town with no other eating establishments.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. Many rooms except the one we stayed in had a veranda overlooking the bay. The beds were comfortable and clean. No TV. Very peaceful . The restaurant was a different story. They were not welcoming. Service was indifferent the dining area was full of flies. Coffee was burned. Food was tasteless.

Just Wow! If I could give them ten stars, I would! What an incredible amazing wonderful shock! We were just expecting a typical Inn with rooms, but No, we were shocked to find we were staying in one of the houses they rent out! We got a really nice sized room with two sink bathroom. It is semi private as you share one floor, but each room has it own portion of the deck with breathtaking views! Lubec is Beautiful and this is a MUST if you plan on staying. We are already planning our return trip! It was so nice to have have such a positive experience. I wish we stayed more than one night.

Such potential, but just an average experience. We love Lubec, and love the location of the Inn. The view out our windows was amazing. But just too many not good things. Checking in, we spoke only to approx 16 year olds, that weren’t familiar with the rooms or policies. The walls are so thin, we could hear our neighbors book on tape. We had to put the bathroom fan on all night to compensate. The bathroom had a shower curtain rod that was completely rusted, and using it flaked the layers off. The toilet was so close to the wall that you couldn’t sit on it straight. And overall just a musty smell permeated. The ocean smell couldn’t cover it with all three windows open. Things to note, mini fridge in room, hot coffee in communal kitchen in the morning, restaurant next door that is open every day.

Splendid location right on the dock. Rooms are adjacent to their restaurant and good food. No smells or sounds come from the restaurant. Our room was clean, well equipped and great views out the windows. Parking can be a bit difficult, but something is always available. Staff was really pleasant and the overall experience was delightful.

This was a treasure to find. The rooms were spacious, clean, with amazing views. The staff were friendly and accommodations great. Good restaurant next door and close to attractions (Campobello, whale watching, hiking). Woke up to loon and gull cries.

This is a wonderful little Inn in a converted cannery, right on the water in Lubec Harbor. The views are amazing. Our room had a wonderful little seating area outside overlooking the pier and the harbor. The fresh air off the ocean and the sounds of the waves were mesmerizing. Room was basic but nice, new, and clean, with all the amenities you’d need. Comfortable bed and great shower. Easy walking distance to restaurants in town. The restaurant at the Inn had a wonderful breakfast. Next time we are in Lubec we will definitely stay here.

The Rooms are spacious and all have a spectacular view over the cove. The room could have been a little cleaner as it was pretty dusty. Otherwise, it was comfortable, roomy and you can't beat the view. The staff was very friendly.

A different kind of stay for us, we had the harbour view room. Firstly the lack of a TV was a surprise, my wife and I rediscovered the art of conversation! Although a harbour view was correct, it also meant that people would sit and smoke on the communal chairs directly in front of our windows, so not ideal as we were unable to open the windows. No tea and coffee in the room, and only supplied in the morning. There was a communal kitchen with a kettle. A converted industrial building there were lots of charming details and everything worked as it should. Although breakfast was not included, the excellent value and attached restaurant meant that this isn’t an issue.
