I stayed in a private room in January. Like most private rooms in hostels, these rooms are not plush versions of hostels, but rather a room that is not shared with strangers. I've stayed in hostels all over the world, this one ranks in the top. It is clean, an info hub, nice community space for sharing meals and conversation,... More

I have a great time everytime i stay at the roadrunner. It is so much fun meeting new people and hearing there stories on their wonderful patio. Whether you're a traveler on the current timeline or traveling through time and space the roadrunner is the place to be.

Clean, friendly. Carb up on free waffles and enjoy the desert. Very happy with this hostel, after many return trips. Excellent local transportation. To the management and staff (in the words of Jack Kerouac:) "You are all Bodhisattvas."

Great hostel, great staff. Would stay again. Wish they had an electronic system for booking to make it more convenient for everyone. Seems like some guests were overbooked and that could have been avoided with a more organized system.

Okay, here it is. I travel all over the country for my job and I usually stay at hostels, not to save money although that's part of it, but because I really enjoy the experience. There are good hostels and there are bad hostels. This is a great hostel! The best one I've staid at and I've staid at most... More

Pleasantly surprised at how clean and well run this hostel was. Private rooms are nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. The bed size is a little small for two people, but not undoable. For what you are paying and where you are staying, this is a great choice! Right near downtown with easy access to Congress, Fourth Ave, and the... More

Jivanatha, what are you talking about?!?! A lot of those so called "crazy retired" people are both vendors and wholesale buyers who actually add energy and fun to the roadrunner experience. They are kids at heart. I think you are engaging in a bit of age discrimination here. Why not look at people for who they are and not just... More

I booked a private room at this hostel for 2 weeks while I was looking for a permanent place to live in Tucson. The room was of a good size (w/ AC unit, portable heater, full size bed, dresser, mirror, two chairs, lamp), and although there was no private bathroom, there were two available (only for the private rooms) and... My boyfriend and I needed a last minute place to stay as he was offered a job in Tucson so we opted for the private room. It's been great the staff has helped me a lot with house hunting and have been very friendly. I will recommend this location to anyone.
