Hello! I am coming into Salem in a few days and Angela at the Hawthorne Hotel has been absolutely accommodating to both myself and my ten year old daughter Emily. She has set up transportation for us to/from the airport and followed up with us a week before coming in. She has made me feel even more comfortable for our...

I've loved the Hawthorne for years. Years before I've ever spent a night. I have loved all things Halloween, witches, spooky since I was a child. 6 years ago I had a Halloween themed wedding. Each table was named after a Haunted destination in the US and our goal was to visit each place. At a table was a framed...

We took a return trip to Salem, MA in October and stayed at the Hawthorne Hotel. It was crowded when we got there due to weddings but we were not disappointed. There were 4 of us and our room had 2 queen beds, 1 full bath and 1 half bath. What a lifesaver, it's nice to have that extra bathroom...

One night a the end of a business trip. Very welcoming staff at this historic hotel in a superb location. Room was fine, and had a good atmosphere. Lobby was decorated for Christmas and I was made to feel very much at home,

We spent 5 days in Salem at Christmas, visiting our son, daughter-in-law and grandson, and the beautiful, old Hawthorne was the perfect hotel for us. The lobby is lively and congenial: people coming and going and meeting up with friends. Centrally located in the historic district, walkable to everything we wanted to see and do: world-class museum(s), terrific restaurants nearby---great...

This place is so exquisite with the 10' pointsetta christmas tree in the main room; along with the piano player and the entire atmosphere is so relaxing while dining; you can sit down or enjoy the buffet with all the foods you could dream of as well as the elegant desserts to end the evening ....

Dear angels333harrison, Christmas spirit reigns high at the Hawthorne each year. Between our lobby poinsettia tree, Santa brunches and Santa's arrival from the roof of the hotel, we have Christmas covered! Regards, Patrick Cornelissen General Manager

Stayed two nights for a wedding. This was the first place I had stayed at that didn't have a coffee/tea maker in the room. Both are available in the lobby during the morning though. Mini refrigerators are available upon request. Good location, beautiful setting, historical value. All in all, a decent place to stay.

A last minute booking after my plans got canceled, The Hawthorne Hotel turned out to be an excellent choice. Stepping into the hotel is like stepping back into time with all of the detail to go along with it. Beautiful hotel both inside and out. Great customer service. If you are looking for a modern hotel, this is not the...

Dear DestenieDestenie, Our nine decades of history are indeed something that we are both proud of and also like to showcase, as we certainly are not a typical brand name hotel. Thank you for staying with us and, despite the last minute booking, I hope you will keep us in mind next time you visit the Boston or Salem area!...

Stayed for a class/conference type of event for 3 nights. I enjoyed my stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable but small. The price matched the accommodations. I had to bring my own coffee maker and had to request a mini frig. It is nice they have restaurants on premises and the lobby area was fine. Staff was pleasant and accommodating....

Dear BostonTia1, Nice to see that we did 'pass muster' on your expectations and that you enjoyed your stay at the Hawthorne Hotel. We do offer complimentary coffee/tea in our lobby, but understand that sometimes one prefers to have it readily available in the room. Thank you also for commenting on the pleasant and accommodating staff, as people do make...
