This property met my business partner's and my needs just fine, but I can see why it has been criticized by other reviewers. The location was perfect, only two blocks from the convention center, and one from the Riverwalk. Rooms were simple, beds comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the balcony every night. But the fixtures and...

The O'Brien is an older property, located downtown near the Mexican consulate. You are about a block and a half from La Villita and the Riverwalk, so it is a great location for visiting that area. The lobby is tiny, and also serves as the breakfast area. We had a downstairs room on the front of the hotel, with a...

Booked for two nights on a Living Social coupon. First night was fine. Hotel is an old building about a block from the riverwalk. Bed and pillows were OK, chairs were comfy, room was clean, and jacuzzi tub was great. Continental breakfast was OK (cereal, waffles, fruit, very good coffee, etc.), but with a very small eating area, we had...

I love the hotel itself. It's older and has personality. But they only have a few parking spaces behind the hotel so you have to park across the street or at a near parking lot for $10, which the hotel refuses to reimburse. And breakfast is laughable. That said, the room was great. We had a king room, bottom floor,...

This is in walking distance to the Riverwalk and LaVallita Shops also the convention center. Parking very limited so park and walk everywhere otherwise you can lose your spot. Rooms are nice - those with a balcony are really open to a long porch with tables and chairs that everone shares. For a "boutique" hotel you would think they would...

We stayed at this hotel for a first time weekend getaway in San Antonio. Overall, our stay was fine. The hotel is within walking distance of everything there is to do around San Antonio. When we arrived, we asked if there was a chance to get a room with a balcony, they told us that they were all booked. Later...

This is an older hotel and quirky. I happen to like that kind of place, but it is not for everyone. The parking is limited. We got the last spot across the street, but could walk everywhere from the hotel, so no worries. We had a small king room on the street side, and it was fine. It was clean...

Excellent location, small room, strange breakfast arrangement, noisy... slightly quirky....very tired look outside, the exterior & at reception .....with a horrible dirty side door to the alleyway for access to a tiny carpark for which the resident has to pay an extra $10 !!!..... you can park across the road in a carpark for $8....... not impressed.,..... but very handy...

Great location. Easy walk to the riverwalk. The parking is limited and difficult to get in and out of the back lot. There is a daily fee for parking. Our room on the 2nd Floor with the 'city view' was okay but extremely small. The problems I had were at night the flood lights leaked through the curtains therefore the...

Nice, quiet, clean with all the appointments of a finer hotel but without the high cost of being right on the Riverwalk. Courteous, knowlegable staff who were pleased to point us toward some of the better restaurants. I will definitely stay here agaqin on my next visit to Sanj Antonio.
