This hotel is simply charming. It is an older hotel, but has been fairly well maintained. Plus, it is decorated with just the right amount of southwest flair without it being too much. This is a dog friendly hotel, however, there are not places close by with grass for the dogs. It is not far to walk them to grassy... More

We live in nearby Albuquerque and visit Santa Fe often for weekend getaways. We have tried a few hotels there and the Hotel Chimayo is our destination of choice; we have stayed there 5 or 6 times. The rooms are decorated in Southwest style but are not kitschy - not a Kokopelli in sight! As noted elsewhere the location is... More

The Hotel Chimayo was exactly as described on TripAdvisor and on the hotel's website. Our room was large and the hotel's location was great--just a few minutes from the center of town and the shops. A parking garage was a plus as it would be difficult to find parking since the hotel is so close to the center of shopping... More

The Hotel has some old Santa Fe charm, but the desk staff is understaffed and there are some commodities we have come to expect. We were on the second floor and there are NO ELEVATORS. They had one person who served as helper for all kinds of things but was not always readily available. They have fireplaces, but you need... More

I checked in October 30 and checked out November 4. It was nice Autumn weather but still a little warm outside. When I turned on the AC warm air blew out. I found out the AC had been turned off for the season. Ok, I can roll with that and open the windows. The problem with that was I was... More

I visited this hotel in December 2015. So obvious it was pretty cold in Santa Fe and it was snowing. We had to take the rail runner to Santa Fe from Albuquerque and then we got a cab to the hotel when we got to the station. As far as location is concerned I couldn't ask for more, the hotel... More

The good: one block from the plaza, covered parking. The bad: no separate AC or heater control. You must ask for a blanket if you're too cold, or a box fan if too hot...what?!. Our Jr suite still was too small, no separate bathroom area, no blackout curtains which was a huge issue with the street light directly outside of... More

In a very convenient location, one block from the Plaza.. They had pictures of the Santurario de Chamayo, the heritage site they sponsor, in all the rooms. It felt very authentically New Mexico. The restaurant upstairs was very good, serving lunch and dinner. Two doors down was the Burrito, a great authentic new Mexico breakfast and lunch place, with American... More

Spent 7 nights, 8 days at the Hotel Chimayo. When I arrived I was so happy to know that they upgraded us and we had more than just a bed and desk. When entering the room, it was stuffy so we put on the a/c. Only warm air came out of it, so I went to the front desk and... More

My husband and I just spent 5 nights at the Hotel Chimayo and were extremely happy that we chose this hotel for our stay. We had a large, very attractive, very clean room with sitting area and fireplace and comfortable bed.. The hotel was decorated very nicely. The location was excellent-steps away from the plaza and walking distance to most places... More
