We stayed at Hotel Chimayo for two nights as part of a Route 66 tour. It was a hotel and location I had really been looking forward to and was not disappointed. The hotel was located in the heart of Santa Fe just meters from the main square and was a lovely two day stopover. The public rooms were furnished...

Relaxing 3 day stay. The room was cozy and the location is excellent. The moon was full and the music in the lounge was incredible. We would always recommend this Hotel to friends and family. Very nice staff too!!

We stayed at El Chimayo at the end of September. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 is because the TV reception was bad and I'm a News Junky, and I didn't eat at their restaurant- which is my fault. I'd only casually mentioned that it was out 30th Anniversary, really, only casually, yet they were on the...

This hotel could use updating, I'll start off w that. But, that's part of the charm. And, it was clean (the cleaning staff was hard working and present all day working on the rooms) and so convenient to all the downtown activities. The bar was great too, very creative menu and the bartender was great! We didn't eat there but...

This hotel has two things going for it. The location and the staff. Otherwise this is the strangest configuration of a crumbling old hotel I've ever seen. Our room, 214, could only be accessed by the third floor. The elevator was tiny and slow. The room itself had a bed, table, and 2 hard wooden chairs. Most annoying was an...

Not sure where all of the original artwork was in the rooms or the lobby - very dark and gloomy lobby, could not appreciate any of the missing décor. Rooms are small, particularly the bathrooms which were no bigger than an airline bathroom. Cleaning was below standard as well - toilet and sink not clean and skimpy on towels. Most...

This was part of our road trip from CA to Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. A great introduction to Santa Fe - just off of the plaza and easy walking to restaurants, museums and galleries. Our room was spacious and quite - which is what we needed. Desk staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants to try for both breakfast...

In Santa Fe you want to be near the Plaza. That's where almost everything is. There are a few other hotels close to the Plaza, but Hotel Chimayo is the most affordable. The renovated rooms are beautiful, the Spanish courtyard charming, staff friendly & helpful. Only complaint is the tiny underground parking ramp, but the hotel will look after your...

This hotel really is nice, it's decor is very nice Southwestern..The rooms are nice, ours had french doors and teeny balconies on each end. There are fireplaces and they will come build a fire for you on cool evenings, other than that there are No frills.. The counter staff isn't terribly friendly or helpful. They really scrimped on towels for...
