We stayed at the Hotel Chimayo for four nights. It was fabulous. We were there during a hot spell and the air conditioning was perfect. The suite/ room was lovely and had a refrigerator and microwave. The hotel was built in 1870 and has been very well brought up to date. The style is Spanish/Mexican and is very comfortable. We...

Dear josephone, From the opening to your inspiring review, I guess that our location was perfect. It sounds as if the rest of our hotel's look and design made you feel right at home. Many of our rooms offer refrigerators, but I believe you had a Deluxe room that also comes with a microwave. Those rooms are truly unique and...

This hotel is well located, and in general the hotel staff is friendly. After a 10 hour drive in triple digit temperatures we went to their non air conditioned bar and were served room temperature beer by a smiling bartender. We then went upstairs to their non air conditioned restaurant, and had in a very blah meal served by a...

I appreciate you bringing these issues to my attention and I assure you that we never want guests to experience such unpleasantness. In regards to the air conditioning in the restaurant, I am not sure what transpired. We have A/C throughout the building and...

Thank you Fourteenerbagger for a great review! I am pleased that our design spoke to you--we have tried to remain traditional with that old Santa Fe feeling and look. Couldn't have found a better location to enjoy all that Santa Fe has to offer. Not fancy, but definitely charming with a great feel for the culture of Santa Fe. Walking distance to the town square and all the restaurants. The staff was so helpful, so friendly. Loved the bar and bartender. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurant....

On a two week trip the two nights here were by far the hotel highlight. Lovely room, a heater for my wife who was cold and endless smiles and caring by every member of the staff form the front desk to to housekeepers. This is the best value you can find in a hotel this close to the plaza. This is a 3 star property so do not expect luxury amenities.
