If you are familiar with the Japanese Ryokan, this isn't that. But it's darn close and it's an amazing place to stay. It's unique in it's own way. Ten Thousand Waves drops the tatami mats for western style beds, keeps the high-tech Toto toilets and embraces adobe architecture. It''s the perfect hybrid of the southwest and the Japanese design esthetic....

Being here is a journey for your senses, and to lodge here is incredible. We stayed here for two nights, with spa services over the course of three days. Lodging: Amazing. Radiant floor heated room invited us to remove our shoes at the door. All our needs were met, simply, yet with great detail. Food in kitchen for simple breakfast....

I've stayed at "The Waves" many times and it remains one of my favorite places to go when I need to get away from it all. The cabins are well appointed and comfortable. I especially like that they have wood burning fireplaces and some of them have dog-proof courtyards, which allows me to bring my little pal along. The setting...

4 of us had a girl's weekend at Ten Thousand Waves. We put the Japanese robes on when we got there and took them off when we left 2 days later. We spent our time at the spa, hiking, and eating in the restaurant, The rooms had fantastic teas, coffee, and granola. We took fruit and yogurt for breakfast and...

My husband and I have visited Ten Thousand Waves on trips to Santa Fe for decades. This visit we decided to also stay at the Houses of the Moon and truly become unplugged from the craziness in the world and the pressure of our jobs. It was the perfect place to do so. The spa treatments and service are among...

What a great place to relax and spend time with your loved one. So scenic and full of atmosphere. We spent 1 hour in a private hot tub that was surrounded with Japanese setting of plants and fresh air. There was also a cold dip to cool off. There also was a sauna that was available. Very romantic.

Ten thousand waves is amazing. The main bath is really a nice temperature, hotter than Ojo Caliente in fact. The cold plunge is awesome, although I'd prefer slightly colder (it was 56 fahrenheit). The restaurant was great. We had the tasting menu with a sake flight and it just blew us away to Japan. We loved it and will be...

Our visit to Ten Thousand Waves was magical, to say the least. We decided on The Natural spa package, which included private hot tub, yasuragi head and neck treatment, therapeutic massage, and salt glow. The private hot tub out under the stars was pure bliss, and we didn't think it could get much better, but each treatment added a new...

Decided to do the whole experience there( lodging, spa, dining) Lodging was very quiet and peaceful.Enjoyed breathing the mountain air and garden. Outdoor grill is available. Didnt care for the japanese style toilet. Love the private hot tub while drinking green tea, highly recommend special package for couples. We also enjoyed the much needed salt scrub and massage. afterward, we...

Placed like a river rock in a Japanese sand garden, Ten Thousand Waves - Houses of the Moon sits in the foothills above Santa Fe and elicits an immediate sense of peace and harmony. My girlfriend and I had planned to go into town for dinner, as there are so many great New Mexican restaurants in Santa Fe. But within...
