Great price for this cozy motel, especially considering the location being easily walkable to the plaza and canyon road. One block from Loretto Chapel. Parking is $8 but anywhere downtown has parking fees. I would definately stay here again.

When most people take the time to write a review, it is because they feel the need to complain about a place. I am sort of an odd duck; I prefer to give people both the good and bad.. This place is the cheapest hotel near the Plaza; and sadly it shows. And as someone else stated; I was not...

OK, the plus is that this is the cheapest place within walking distance of the plaza. The room was mostly clean, so that was good, too. As for the rest, all I kept thinking was that management couldn't be bothered to do a lot of things. The in-room coffee maker had every part but the maker. Yes, a carafe, filter...

When I was looking for a place for us to spend the night in Santa Fe I like to try different places. I've seen the name Garrett's Dessert Lodge for many years on Tripadvisor and I thought we might give it a try, the price was right. The pictures certainly don't represent the rooms. They don't show the cigarette holes...

Clean, cozy rooms, good price. Great location within 3-15 minutes walking to places if you want to visit: as Loretto chapel (about 3 minutes), San Miguel chapel (2 minutes), plaza, Palace of the governors (15-16 minutes), Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi (7 minutes)...

Picked this hotel due to its proximity to the town. Not disappointed as the walk was only five minutes - worth paying a little more as the rest of the hotels are a long way out of town. Staff most helpful.

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff with a casual restaurant on site. Two and a half blocks to the Plaza with many vendors and more great restaurants. Casual entertainment on the Plaza. The place to shop for beautiful jewelry. Be selective in your jewelry purchases. The Native American Indians that are under the canopy of the Plaza of Governors are Certified...

This ageing hotel is perfect for being near the centre of Santa Fe without commanding the prices of the more upmarket hotels. Set in a quadrangle around the parking area, the rooms are spacious and have everything one needs. No frills and as I said a little dated.

The hotel is outdated, but clean and close to everything. The staff are friendly and helpful and rates are reasonable for location alone. You pay $8 for parking, which is weird but if you add it to the room rate, it isn't a big deal. While the rooms could use new bedding and better TVs, the bathrooms have been renovated...

Booked late on a busy night, upgraded to the king suite for $150/night, so much space! Cool bat nested outside our room so figured the suite doesn't get booked much. Dated but clean, bed was comfy, if u sleep walk u might end up at the plaza bc u r so centrally located :)
