Awesome getaway place. Cabin was cozy and comfortable with a beautiful view! Only about 20 minutes to the caverns and other great locations. The only negative is the water smell so just be sure to take plenty of bottled water. Overall, we loved it and will definitely return.

We stayed on the Shenandoah River this summer by renting the Stone Manor Cabin from Stone Manor Cabin rentals. It was just lovely. We were right on the river, had a nice screen porch with hot tub, intertubes, canoe, full kitchen - everything we could want with the George Wash Natl Forest literally in our backyard. Reasonably priced and clean. I would recommend this rental to anyone. This was a two bedroom, but they also have bigger cabins along the river. Just google Stone Manor Cabin Luray VA and it's easy to find their website. I would recommend taking a phone card with you as your cell phone will not work unless you drive up the road a ways. They also had a big book in the living room with brochures from all over the area. Used it to find horseback riding, a battlefield and a winery. If you love the outdoors, this is a terrific place to stay.

We are 2 couples from the UK travelling down to Key West and taking 1 month to do so. After spending 2 days in Washington DC, this was a lovely comfortably well equipped cabin, far better than we ever expected. Wonderful to have supper down by the river, have the fire pit going and watch the stars. If lighting a fire in house ensure you have read the instructions on opening the chimney flue. Had a fantastic time at this place and would love to go again. SPA very welcome after hiking for a good many miles.

We had the pleasure of finding Stepping Stone cabin and stayed there just last week while touring the beautiful Shenandoah Valley Caverns and Skyline Drive. The cabin is located in a slightly remote area (gravel road access) and is worth every mile off the beaten path! The river view and quiet location nestled in the trees was "perfect". The cabin is immaculately clean and nicely appointed. Owners Bill and Peggy are most accommodating and genuinely go out of the way to ensure that guests are comfortable and have an enjoyable stay.

I would highly recommend Stepping Stone for friends or family gatherings.....you won't be disappointed.

As the title says, this cabin is situated by the river. Comfortably housing 4 but can do 6. This Cabin has everything you need for a short break. The fireplace was great and we utilized this on both nights as well as using the fire pit outside. We also took advantage of the hot tub which is inside the screened porch. We did take out the canoe but found it difficult getting in and out without a dock. The only other mini negative was the queen bed was a little uncomfortable as quite soft. This room however has a great view of the river as well as getting this view from the kitchen table. I highly recommend checking this place out.

This was a wonderful getaway with an amazing location. We utilized the screened in porch that had a hot tub, table, and grill that still allowed you a great view of the river. The fire pit came in handy both nights and we had a great time taking out the canoe on the river, though it would have been nice if there was a dock to take it out from! Rooms were good and everything was furnished and decorated well. Only downside was the horrible smell of the running water due to the sulfur since the water comes from the ground! They have a filter on the kitchen sink but the bathroom always smelled strange from the toilet and sink water.

Other than that, great & relaxing mini vacation!
