We went on one of the Halloween weekends and stayed in a cabin. Accommodations were typical for a camping cabin, though pricey. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. My husband and kids went to the haunted trail, and while standing in line, two parents broke off and just 10ft away were openly smoking marijuana right by the kids and parents. This event is for children 8+ it said. This woman brought 3 children under 5 to a bloody haunted house, and then openly smoked weed in front of all the kids and parents, and it was definitely not the first time we smelled it. All of these events are for children, and this is a family-oriented campground, keep in mind. I don’t care what you do at your home, but the public and children do not need to be subjected to that unwantedly. The next day, a lot of campers were leaving, but we had one more night booked and went to the Caverns. When we got back, every single item that was not inside the cabin was stolen, including our plugged in Halloween inflatable!! I might go back, but definitely be aware of the people around you, you cannot trust your stuff here. Generally people were nice, and staff were great, but obviously an element of sus here.

Our family enjoys staying here in Luray each time we have visited this park. And we stay in cabins and take our pups too. It’s also fun to go into the town on Main St to visit all the little shops. Always have a great time here and love going up to the Shendoah National Park too on our way back home.

Jellystone is fun for kids but the bathroom are so gross, super dirty the showers looks like it has never been cleaned in months. For the cost of camping you would expect for the bathroom to be cleaned. Please clean your bathroom and showers.

So we have been visiting this campground for about the past 10 years. We have tent camped, stayed in an RV, but usually rent a cabin or cottage. Well, I think this is going to be our last visit. Let me start off by saying that they have plenty of staff working there more than I’ve ever seen in the past 10 years. Most of their employees are friendly there is a lady that was working in the guard shack that had a bad attitude. Her husband also has a bad attitude. I watched him with numerous guests and kids and just felt like he did not want to be there. Our cottage that we rented and spent over $2000 doing so Was filthy outside. The condition of the cottage was horrible. if you stand on the front deck and look between the bush and the handrail, it was loaded with trash very surprised since they had probably about 10 people riding around on Ranger carts constantly. We were also surprised for the Labor Day weekend how a lot of the amenities were unavailable. We rented a golf cart for our stay and had numerous problems with both of them. They’re golf carts look like they are never maintained and in horrible condition. The store is lacking items that every day campers would need. We noticed they ran out of hotdog buns, and other condiments. Very hard to believe since the campground was sold out for Labor Day weekend. We did notice that their clothing selection has grown quite a bit. Which is not really something that campers absolutely have to have. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay. It used to be fantastic. Very sad especially because the property is in a beautiful location. My personal recommendation for future campers is to check out the campground prior to booking. They you pay for everything and will not refund you. I see why they have that policy now. Because once you get there and start staying, you’re probably going to want to leave. Do your research. They actually just built a new camping resort on the other side of town about 5 miles away. Luxurious cabins for every budget.

We were suppose to spend a week here but 3 days into put our trip, I was racially profiled by senior man, who was driving a ranger cart collecting garbage from sites. Will never return or recommend especially if you are a POC. Shame on you especially being a yogi bear campground. We cut our trip short and left early

We visited Luray Jellystone for the first time this August. We loved the location and the campground. We visited the Luray Caverns and the Shenandoah National Park (both must dos). The amenities at the campground are wonderful! The older kids loved the slides and our youngest loved the pool and splash area. They loved the zipline (one was broken), the paddle boats, playgrounds and sand volleyball court. Everything is well kept. The staff are the best we've had this summer. Everyone was so friendly. My only disappointments were the candy bar bingo and the amount of activities. Most of the activities cost extra money. We were bummed that they only showed 1 movie in the 4 days we were there and they have a great outdoor movie setup. Candy bar bingo was the most expensive we've been to out of all of our camping trips. Then you only won one candy bar per game (never had this be the case), and they saved soooo many for the last game. They should definitely be spread out more and still have a big winner at the end like all of the other campgrounds do (including other Jellystones). It would've just been nice to see a few more activities that didn't cost extra money, since that is usually one of the highlights of Jellystone campgrounds.

This place is not cheap so with that being said why are the pool chairs dry Rotton, bathroom needs repairs and cleaned more often. The paddle lake filter systems need repaired so much algae that you do not want to put your feet in the water! Fish floating up dead! They cut off the water AGAIN... for more than 4 hours, which made packing and cleaning up so much worse! They lost power on one of the hottest days! Invest in your property because my grandchildren love this place until you do have to take you off my list.

My family have stayed at the park many times and have enjoyed it. This last visit was a little different. FIrst off, we find out that we were bumped sites because I did not pay the site lock fee. I think this is a direct money grab. The price of the stay was over $330 to begin with not including the gas to get there. To pay an additional site lock fee is uncalled for. When you book the site in the first place you chose the site you want, why should you have to pay more to prove you really want that site ? On Saturday a tree came down and hit a powerline to knock out power to the campground. It was in the upper 90's which made for some hot camping. The campground did a good job and had Dominion out to fix the problem in about 3 hours. Woke up Sunday morning with no water in the campground. Not sure what the problem was but made it tough packing up. Lets hope they get the problems fixed.

We stayed at a skyline cabin. For rustic lodging, it was not cheap. What we were not expecting was almost no utensils (no glasses, mixing bowl, pot, spatula, most of the basics), the blinds had a huge whole in them, the window air conditioner shut down because the filter was clogged with who knows what. Someone told us the place was under new management which explained the prices doubling. On the positive note, the maintenance crew was fast and efficient and took care of things quickly. Our daughter loved all the activities: pool, water slide, bounce bubble, paddle boats, zip line, etc. For the money, we wouldn’t go back to stay in the cabins. But ended up being a fun weekend.
