Absolutely beautiful park. The sites could have been a bit more spacious but were comfortable. The utilities and wifi worked great, the grounds are very well kept and manicured, the park is very quiet and free from traffic or other noise. It also had a nice dog park that our dogs appreciated. There is so much to do in Luray which was only about 5 miles away, we wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely be back. The only downside was, when booking online we were charged $10 PER NIGHT for a camping fee which I thought was excessive and didn’t see until I booked. Other than that it was a perfect place to stay. Each site had a picnic table and fire pit. Lots of things to do; pool with several water features, pickle ball, a remote control car track, and another track that looked like a bike track with hills?

Property's Favourite Review
The campsite was pristine, we loved our site, waking up in the morning and being able to view the meadow and mountains was amazing. We enjoyed being able to walk with our dogs down to the river. The dog park was huge and well kept, our pups enjoyed running freely. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will say though calling beforehand no one returned calls. Would recommended the campground to any and all. Con. their are no amenities.

This location is beautiful and quiet. It is ideally located along the Shenandoah River and allows for river water play and float. However, there were several let downs. First, we drive a class A RV and don't tow. We were not able to find an Uber or Lyft ride 3 miles down 211 to visit the Luray Caverns. The office staff was not accommodating at all. You would have thought that one of the "Resort" staff would have been able to drive us 3 miles down the road, but it wasn't even offered. I highly suggest that they get a van or bus to provider transportation to guests if needed. Second, they don't rent floats for their river. Third, their bath house was very small considering the large number of camper and tent sites they had available.

Lovely campground with mainly Pro's but a few Con's. First the Pro's: The property is large, beautiful, and immaculate. Grass is pristine, landscaping has rocks and fountains and walking paths all around you. Their golf cart trails are awesome and therefore riding around the property is a fun activity. So...GET A GOLF CART. The river tubing is a great leisurely activity (if you don't have a tube they sell them at the office) and you'll want that golf cart for pick up at the end point bc the walk back with tubes is inclined and not a short hike. The views are beautiful and their location is excellent. Easy drive to Shenandoah Nat'l Park and caverns. There was a severe storm one evening and their staff showed up immediately the next AM to help us as some of our site had flooded. They took care of us and I have zero complaints about it. We were in our lawn chairs enjoying the view the very next day. Mostly all of their staff was friendly. Cons: There is one young woman with brown hair at the front desk who is extremely unfriendly. Does not even respond when you speak to her. It’s not welcoming at all when you’ve driven 6 hrs and are given an attitude at check in. I left a message about potential late check in which was not returned so that was stressful. Turned out we made it before the office closed but it would have been helpful if someone returned my call to assure me that a slightly late check in would be fine. There is no way to get from the tubing endpoint back to entry without a cart or a long walk. If you're a large group you can switch off but if you're a couple like us, it's tough. No one there to pick us up. The price is a bit steep considering there are zero activities. This is a natural campground without any events or usual amenities. Have to get your wood before the office closes, no entertainment or daily activities. It's strictly the river and the views. That was fine for us but be aware. If you're there for the Nat'l Park and the Caverns, you'll be fine for a few days and will soak up nature's beauty. Probably best for short stays but don't miss if you are looking for quiet. It's a beautiful place. I'm glad we went and would recommend. Don't forget the golf cart, though. :)

Stayed here 3 nights Weds Thurs Fri first week of Sept. First night was sparse and quiet, the next two nights more campers started to arrive but was still quiet and relaxed. Property is very well maintained and has great mountain views! Our site was pretty level with a picnic table and fire ring and full hookups. Staff was very nice and the store has about anything you would need. Right on the river but no water side sights its a good hike down to water, or you can rent a golf cart to ride around in but we did not do that we just rode our bikes around. Bathrooms and shower house seemed cleaned but I only used it once as I had everything in camper I needed. Great location also, with easy access to surrounding national parks, attractions and skyline drive. Do yourself a favor and visit Triple Crown Barbeque 5 mins down the road. Excellent food!! Get there early as they sell out it seems. Oh and watch the speed ramps within the campground, they do a good job of keeping traffic slowed but if you forget one your going to dent your roof with your head lol

Not very friendly at check in, asked about the chance of moving a little closer to friends we were traveling with, since the park was almost empty when we arrived. I was told, No, the park is booked for the weekend, without even trying to help. Other than that, we had a great stay. One of the reasons we chose this campground is the small, family type feel. It was a very enjoyable stay, loved the scenery and the quiet atmosphere. Unfortunately, we probably won't be back. According to the plans posted and the information we found online, it is set to become one of the mega RV resorts with 200 sites, 100 cabins and boom box hauling golf cart haven.

DO NOT GO HERE. My friends and I booked four separate TENT camping sites in May. Two weeks before our trip in August, my friend saw all the awful reviews about people being screwed over on Google. They tried calling the "resort" several times, while leaving messages, and emailed several times, with no answer. Finally on the day we were supposed to arrive, my friend gets a call that "the tent sites are no longer available" but offered to put us in a glamping tent. When my friend informed them that we would need two glamping tents because there were 8 adults, they said the glamping tents were no longer an option and put us in the RV sites. We wanted to go camping in the woods along the river and ended up spending the weekend in the very back of a large parking lot. The staff was rude and couldn't have cared less that they screwed us over.

Me and my friend went camping, we stayed at plataform 20 and it was perfect, it is close enough to the bathhouse and it is separated from all the other camping grounds, so it is very private. The staff was super friendly and told us about an outlook that we should go to, definitely worth it. Everything is very clean and well maintained.

Had an fabulous time this weekend in a glamping tent with our friends. Everything looked brand new and resort is immaculately kept. Definitely rent a golf cart if you are down in the tents to get your stuff down easily. Can buy firewood on site very reasonably priced. Five stars - loved everything.

We used to love to camp here. It's now been sold and the prices are outrageous. There are no onsite amenities so there is no reason for the prices to be so high. New minimum stay requirement... military discount only for active duty.
