Wished I could have stayed for more than one night. The room was incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated. Time felt like it stood still. The food in the downstairs Tavern was just right and the staff was very friendly and cheerful. Love the stone walls and lights in the windows. The huge walk in shower was definitely a highlight too!

The hotel is in a perfect location of Newport R.I. However we were very disappointed with the treatment we received from the front desk clerks. Both times we asked for directions to a restaurant and direction both clerks made no eye contact with us as they seemed like we were bothering them as the had there heads buried in the...

We had an enjoyable stay one night at this perfectly located hotel. Albeit a little weird getting to the lobby and the elevator, but once you get past that, this hotel was very good. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee outside at the back deck overlooking the marina. This hotel is perfectly located for everything - Thames Street or for...

My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice and it was awesome both times. As college twenty-somethings, we can't always afford a five star place to stay. After a couple days of research, we found Newport Bay Club & Hotel. We stayed in a huge one bedroom suite overlooking the intersection in January 2015. It was perfect for us and...

Lovely old building, in a really great location. Mini-kitchen very useful and parking a huge plus in a part of town where that can be scarce. Staff were very friendly and helpful, right down to promptly calling us and offering to on-send an item we'd left behind. Only negative was that the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.

My three friends and I stayed in a townhouse at the Newport Bay Club and Hotel in late June for one evening. Upon arrival, we were greeted in the hotel's small, but functional lobby. Although we had arrived extremely early, the staff did its best to check us in one hour earlier than usual. Each staff member that we interacted...

Perfect location, very roomy two story suite with two harbor view decks, kitchen, very comfortable. Courteous staff, quiet but located right in the middle of Newport. Will definitely return. Negatives - needs a rehab generally, old furniture, baths. And the free breakfast was an apple, shrink wrapped Danish, and yogurt cup with coffee. Pretty disappointing. But the views, location, and...

Stayed in room 300 with a master bedroom with a queen and a pull out couch. Room had a full kitchen and dining area. It was clean and nicely decorated. Close and within walking distance to the waterfront wharfs, which have shopping and restaurants. Continental breakfast of muffins, Danishes, fruit and yogurt provided as well as coffee and OJ. Staff...

I was in the area with my daughter earlier this week Loki gat colleges. We ended up in Newport too tired to head to Boston. I typically stay at the Marriott but it was closed for renovations. I called this hotel. The woman who answered was so sweet...ten minutes later I walked in and secured my reservation. When we got...

“I can only speak for ours, which over looked the beginning of the commercial district; and which we loved. Sometimes it is good being able to judge the ebb and flow of humanity, for our own forays out.”

“Townhouse room was ideal for the two of us but we saw the two bedroom rooms that looked perfect for two couples. Both had a half bath on the main floor as well as the large full bath upstairs with the bedroom(s).”

“Some late noise on the street side, but it didn't bother us. Light sleepers might request a room farther away from the street.”
