Wendy (Innkeeper) was very accommodating and warm. Breakfast was very good, but a 2nd or 3rd choice would have been nice. The room was well maintained and the afternoon tea and cookies were a nice treat after a long day at the beach or walking around town. We would likely stay again, but not for the price we paid. We... The Bayberry Inn was an attactive B&B. We spent two nights in the Honeymoom Room which was lovely and spacious. Wendy, the manager was friendly and helpful. Good location, quiet but not to far to walk into the hustle and bustle. We would reccommend The Bayberry Inn to family and friends.

My mother and I spent four nights at the Bayberry, which I chose because of the location, amenities, attractiveness of the house and rooms. Comparing to other b&bs in Newport, the price for the room was excellent (since rooms are not cheap if you want some quality). It was located on a residential street, away from the hustle, but close... More

Booked a room online for what turned out to be $70 higher than their highest posted price. When we arrived we were showed such a room but told it was not available. Instead we were given a room on the first floor and checked in for a lessor amount signing the check in forms for that amount. The next day... More

Management response:

Very sorry to see this review posted and take issue with the perceptions of the guest. The specific room reserved was provided as booked online through the third-party agent. The Innkeeper went above and beyond providing breakfast service to the Bayberry Suite at the request of the guest whom conveyed the highest compliments during their stay. It is beyond our... More

We spent 2 nights in the Newport Room. Upon arrival, we were thrilled to see the place was as nice as the online pictures. The location is ideal - close enough to walk everywhere. The Innkeeper was very hospitable, and the breakfast was wonderful! We will recommend the Bayberry Inn to friends and family.

The Inn is beautiful both outside and inside. We stayed two nights in the Red Room (#204). The Red Room is located on the 2nd floor at the front of the house. It's nicely decorated and very spacious with a sitting area and a king size bed. It also has a gas fireplace. The bathroom is very large with a... More

My boyfriend and I spent three nights at the Bayberry Inn over Memorial Day weekend, and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. We stayed in the Anna Hunter Suite, which was lovely and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and spacious with a shower and Jacuzzi. The breakfasts were delicious, and each afternoon Wendy,... More

We chose this inn because of its central location. We never used the car, and felt like locals by the end of our short stay, because we had walked all over the neighborhood. The Bayberry Suite was exactly what we were expecting, because the inn's website has lots of good pictures for you to see what you are reserving. The... More

The Anna Hunter Room was a beauty with a spacious living area and fireplace. A hallway that separated both rooms giving each guest privacy. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of cabinets and counter top space. The bathroom offers a jacuzzi with a shower stall. There are stairs up to the shower stall, so it is not recommended for those... More

The location of this place is great and the innkeeper was lovely and friendly (and prepared excellent cooked breakfast!). However, our room felt very shabby and in need of a freshen up, deep clean and air. The place almost felt a bit unloved as though the owners had given up. There were water stains on the ceiling, flappy wallpaper, broken... More
