Yes it is military only, but if you can stay there you will be well taken care of. The gardens, pools, variety of places to dine, staff are all top notch. It fits the 5 star category. Adult only and family friendly pools, access to the ocean, tours to be taken, great parking.

You need to have a military ID card to stay here but you can bring friends/family who are not military to accompany you. The rooms all had great little porches that you could sit and read/watch the sun rise/set from. the queen sized beds were comfortable and the pillows were great and plentiful. You can't beat the price for staying...

My wife and I spent 8 days/nights at the Hale Koa. We have stayed at other military hotels around the world but were not expecting the level of comfort, support, and overall splendor of the resort. It is truly in a class by itself. From the wonderful breakfasts, nice rooms with water views, great beach access and beach bars, Hale...

Great hotel, and one of the cheapest 4* in Waikiki if you qualify for a room. The beach, pools, restaurants, stores, are all within a 5 minute walk of your room. I look forward to returning in the years ahead!

This hotel is very clean and great customer service! Also the beach it has to offer is great for snorkeling and other activities. The food was good at the hotel as well. Great price and great location! Wouldn't stay anywhere else on this island!

When we arrived at the Hale Koa the first thing I noticed was the fact that they had a covered outdoor lobby. This is something I did not think I would enjoy, but much to my surprise I loved it more and more with each passing day. Honestly speaking, I think this is a feature that most people loved because...

Whenever we go to Hawaii, we always stay at the Hale Koa (thanks, military!). The hotel offers great pricing options and wonderful views. The hotel is always kept very clean and there are a lot of fun things to do around the grounds. It is very well-located on Waikiki and the ease of access makes it the perfect spot. I...
