My brother and I visited Hawaii for the first time. The Breakers sits in the shadows of The Trump, Embassy Suites, and sundry other high rise behemoths that cost thrice as much and aren't nearly as good. It is literally a block from the beach and centrally located to everything mid town Waikiki has to offer in terms of shopping...

Good value older hotel. WiFi a bit weak but staff good, pool very clean and a great location. Also quiet and room service good. Free coffee in the morning. 24 hour staffing of front desk, great for late arrivals.

Absolutely love the Breakers! This is a true hidden gem and experience of the "old Hawaii" charm amongst new high-rise hotels. Ideal location...walk everywhere in Waikiki. Close to great restaurants, shopping, and attractions, yet nestled in a tranquil and relaxing setting just steps from what is probably one of the cleanest pool in all of Waikiki! We've been visiting here...

This is one of the few remaining old-style hotels/motels in Waikiki. It's family-owned and family-run by a wonderful group of people. The hotel is well maintained and retains its 1950s charm. Our family has visited several times and loves the location, casual style, friendly guests and staff. It's a place you can relax by the pool all day, read a...

This is my only review of The Breakers in spite of having stayed here for the last four years. As you can gather from the earlier reviews, this is no luxury hotel and it does have downsides like street noise ( rooster crowings, early morning garbage trucks and food trucks on an adjacent lot). If these things will bother you,...

We stayed for a couple of nights. Loved it! Wasabi is delicious. Perhaps our favorite Japanese restaurant in Hawaii. , arancino is also very good. Will return. For sure. Nice pool. Friendly service. Nice banyan tree.free ice machine. Vending machine on premises. Great location. Minutes walk to the beach. Steps from many excellent places to eat. Convenience stores nearby. A/C...

My one week's stay at the Breakers was a huge disappointment for several reasons. The hotel is a low rise in one of the busiest sections of Waikiki. The noise level from the staff, the street, and the rooster prevented a decent night's sleep for my entire visit. House keeping is poor with my room only being seen to twice...

The breakers is a hidden gem. Nice rooms, pool and family atmosphere. We always felt comfortable and relaxed. When you leave for the day, drop your key at the desk. When you come back your welcomed by name Only advice is to stay in the middle of the property. Can get a little nosey.

Visited for 9 nights January 8-18th. My first visit was 49 years ago with my parents and I remembered it as a fun place to stay even then. Love the open air concept of the rooms. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and "pets", 2 cats and Bul Bul the bird are an added bonus. Close to the beach...

We traveled here many years ago, but felt the need to give our impression. We thankfully were only staying here 3 nights before traveling to another island. One morning as my dad went to take a shower, a rat had somehow found its way into the shower. GROSS!!! It was horrible!!! It was running all over the bathroom and eventually...
