we arrived on a Wednesday night. Our check-in was smooth we were first in line at the checkout clerk was quite slow. We were able to get into our room ahead of check in time probably around 3 PM we booked a two bedroom two bath Oceanview suite in the lagoon tower. It was perfect for a family of 42 teenage boys mom and dad full kitchen great view of the lagoon ocean we were facing the rainbow tower. Because of Covid the luau took place on the great lawn which was right below our room so we could see the luau every Thursday and Friday night.

The hotel provided you with much of what you needed the refrigerator has an icemaker. There are washers and dryer‘s on every floor and not in tower. They also provide clothes detergent dish soap paper towels sponges dishwasher detergent. House cleaning list twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Extra towels were easy to come by. When you check in your given for beach towel cards one for each person. We asked for four more, that was no problem. A tip would be to get your beach towels the night before so you don’t have to wait in line to get them. There was a line about 15 people long to get towels beach chairs and umbrellas around the lagoon. it seemed like there was a limitless supply of chairs and umbrellas so we just waited till later in the day so we didn’t have to wait in line. I recommend booking your tours in advance of your trip we left a couple days open towards the end of our trip and by the time we decided on what we wanted to do most of the tours are already booked. There weren’t many places to eat at the hotel there was one bar near the beach and the main pool there was a small market and a roundtable pizza. it was great having the kitchen so we could eat breakfast and lunch there. Highly recommend reservations for dinner so if you want to go to Duke‘s Grille on Doraku sushi Roys etc. you need to make a reservation. Due to Covid many of the tours required your Hawaii certification and barcode that you have been screen and Covid free. So download the app and you can have that handy. Many places we went to temperature checks even for dinner.

Gorgeous property in the best section of Waikiki beach! We had the two bedroom plus with an ocean view! Million dollar view for sure! We were on the 14th floor. Very roomy and the bedrooms were a good size. We had a king bed in the master and two full beds in the 2nd bedroom. It was more than big enough for the four of us. It also had a fully stocked full kitchen and two good sized bathrooms. The lagoon is just down the lobby and the beautiful 80 degree Pacific is just a few more yards away! We walked everywhere as we couldn’t book a rental car. Rental cars are very limited in Hawaii right now. Food options near by are amazing. We had the best ramen, local Hawaiian food, Pho, sushi, and so much more! We took the bus all the way to North Shore just to try the world famous Giovanni’s Shrimp truck. Amazing! The Hilton Hawaiian Village has many places to eat but we opted to venture out and eat in many different local restaurants all over the island. We either took an Uber or the local bus to places that were too far to walk. We were here for 6 full days and we hit up Magic Island, Diamond Head, North Shore Waimea Bay, Hanauma Bay and of course all over Waikiki. It was one of our best Hawaiian vacations ever and we’ve been to Hawaii half a dozen times. I highly recommend this place. Only thing is it gets very crowded during check out time and it might take you 20 - 30 minutes to get down the elevator . We had to wait for 7 elevators before we could get down. We had to just take the elevator going up and went all the way to the penthouse floor and came back down. By the way the concierge recommended taking Charlie’s taxi to get to Hilton Hawaiian Village from the airport. Uber was $200+ as it was in high demand. Charlie’s was only $29 flat rate. I definitely recommend the Lagoon tower even though it’s an older timeshare than the Grand Waikikian or the Grand Islander as you can’t beat the location right on the sand.

We had a good experience here for a week's stay. The worst part was checking in on a Saturday, as we faced long slow lines. I got the feeling that staff was overwhelmed with reopening of Hawaii. Once we got to the room, everything was fine. I found the room, kitchen, view very nice. The rooms were larger than expected. The elevators got jammed up a lot and people started to just ignore Covid 4 people to an elevator because no one could get on. The staff finally gave up trying to enforce it.

The location and grounds are nice. We were right next to the beach and to a nice lagoon. There were several restaurants near the property, and they were always busy with a wait. If you venture away a bit, there are more choices. We used the ABC store for stocking up on food, snacks, beer etc.

The hotel has nice balconies for sitting out and enjoying the view and the air. My bed was much better than the one at home:)

If you want a nice place near the beach, this is a good choice. The location is good, you can walk to either Wakiiki or downtown with no problem.

Oh boy. This place looks like a bad brawl happened in the room we stayed in. The baseboards are worn and marked. The walls and doors are chipped and scraped. They didn't do a good cleaning job because there are bits of food from the previous guests under our table and bits of dried food in the cracks of the closet doors. I don't even know how to feel comfortable here.

The place is dated and just feels like it needs a deep clean or just even a paint job to look even close to resort like. The bathroom has one hook and none of the towels stay hung on the one hook. The furniture has seen better days.

I wish we had gone some place else. The two stars are just for the front desk because they're super nice. We are going to try to find a better place to spend the next 6 days of our trip.

Do not come here. It's not even the level of a Hilton garden inn... It's worse! I feel so mislead by the reviews. This was not as expected

The views from this resort are arguably some of the best in Honolulu and the rooms are exceptionally spacious. I would love this resort if it had not been for its totally disinterested and unresponsive management who hide themselves behind multiple administrative layers so as not have to deal with guest issues. This place has more "resort managers" than I have ever seen and the senior management shields themselves behind junior management that has no authority whatsoever but make empty promises regarding fixing issues. HGVC honesty should be ashamed as this is a total misuse of members fees. Here is a typical example of how problem resolution is handled at this property. A Junior manager 2 short weeks ago during a stay gave me his email to avoid future stay issues and said I should contact him prior to future stays to avoid repeat problems at this resort. I thanked him and specifically asked him for information on who to contact if he was unavailable. He told me not to worry but said he would get me alternative resort contact information. I sent 3 emails requesting the alternative contact information. I never heard back until today when I received an automated response that yesterday was his last day as he retired. I guess he didn't remember he was retiring 2 weeks ago when he said I should contact him before future stays !!!!

We stayed in the towers for a week in June 2019. Our flight back to the mainland was in the evening so we had the bellman pick up our luggage for storage while we spend the day by the pool. The hotel lost an expensive bag and have refused to replace anything or return any communications with us. We were required to fill out an itemized list of what was in the bag (which we did) but they literally gave us the finger after we left Hawaii because they will not respond to any communication from us. I’m really disappointed in the hotel and the Hilton brand. This is def not what I would have expected from either.

Had a 5th floor 2 bedroom ocean/lagoon view apartment. Loved that this tower was close to the ocean. Its a huge resort and some of the other towers are a long walk from the ocean. Perhaps because of being on the 5th floor we had no elevator issues. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Upon checking in I was provided a number to text if I needed anything. When I did text the response was very timely. Our apartment was directly above the nightly luau. We loved it! I realize its not for everyone but this place is not a tiny quiet resort. I saw the checkin and luau lines. They were extrememly long. If you join Hilton Honors (free) you can check in and out digitally and get your room key on your phone. You can always get a key card when there is no line. Timing is important to length of lines. For example, if you want Ice cream from Lappert's the line is very long at 8pm but there is no line in the afternoon. I do not recommend eating at the onsite resturaunts. There are way better and cheaper choices nearby.

We stayed at the Lagoon Tower from 3/13/21-3/18/21. Our room was on the 20th floor with spectacular views of the water and marina. We were able to watch the sunset nightly from our balcony. The bed was comfortable and the room was well appointed. However, the kitchen is very basic and some of the decorations in the living room were outdated. Most of the stores are still closed on site, along with most of the restaurants. But fear not, there are plenty of options within walking distance.

Be warned - your Hilton status counts for nothing here, they have their own “timeshare” guests that get precedence over Diamond Elite members… Rooms are very noisy, dated and tired. The Lagoon “suites” are like institutional rooms and most are literally adjacent to the elevators (they share a wall). Impossible to sleep as it’s extremely noisy each time it moves not just when it stops at the relevant floor. Serious design flaw and extremely noisy.- all night long. The common areas were dirty. The only positive was the English woman on the concierge desk - she was really helpful. There are much nicer and cheaper places to stay nearby. Stay at one of those.

This property had everything we wanted- nice kitchen, balcony with beautiful views of the ocean and super clean. My grandsons loved everything but I’d say that Hawaii, in general, is so expensive. Especially true on the Hilton grounds. But we found a local store and stocked up on much there. There are so many high rise buildings on the grounds that it felt over developed. We had a nice time.
