We stayed just one night at The Equus Hotel. We had just got off a 12 hour flight plus figure in a 6 hour time change. The room was nice, beds comfortable, and bathroom was adequate. Staff that we dealt with were nice and helpful. The pool looked lovely but we didn't use it. A nice touch was the coffee...

I have been staying at Equus for 8 years and counting. The location is ideal, in the sense that you are at the end of Waikiki and so not as noisy and hectic as being in the heart of Waikiki, yet, you are still close to the Mall, Sports Bars and State park Beach. The staff is very proactive, friendly...

I found a good rate and decided to have a short staycation at the Equus Hotel to relieve stress. I was a little concerned about the hotel, knowing its and older, smaller property. When I arrived, in the early evening, on a Sunday, I was pleasantly surprised. The location for me was great. At the west edge of Waikiki, it's...

At The Equus Hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Not a fancy hotel but service was great! Mattress a little worn in our room but we were exhausted from our day trips that we still slept fine and didn't hear any of the traffic going by.

Well-appointed Hotel, I notice those things. Great toiletries and a nice touch to provide muffins and organic coffee in the morning, Had a partial view of canal and marina. Central location was the cherry on top!

The hotel itself is nice. The rooms themselves are nicer than the outside looks. Very friendly staff. Our frustration came with parking. Just a shock to a traveler that hotels don't provide parking...

Check in took awhile as a foreign group was ahead of us and it was difficult for staff to communicate with them. Our assigned room was not clean and we asked to change it and were accommodated by a very tall Hawaiian woman (Do not remember name)at front desk who gave us a nicer and cleaner room. She was extremely...

My wife and I had a 4 day stay at the Equus in the first week of May. It was our second trip to Hawaii, and our first to Oahu. I chose this hotel based on location close to beaches and waikiki, and the good reviews on Tripadvisor, which I always have had good luck with. Not disappointed. The location...

The hotel was old. The elevator wasn't even working and we were on the 4th floor and it was soooooo hot. Small property right off Main Street so tons of dangerous traffic. Decent location in terms of getting around. Staff was adequate but couldn't help with challenges of hotel.

Hotel was nice and convenient for our needs for one night. However, upon arrival our group of 14 found that no rooms were cleaned and ready for check in. While waiting the computer system went down and a technician had to be called. We were told no rooms could even be allocated for us to put our myriad of luggage...
