Stayed there Oct 5-10, 2016 and loved it. It's on the historic register and so it should be. Even though it is historic it has all the modern amenities including Wifi and air conditioning. Quiet neighborhood, lovely breakfast. Duncan their 150 lbs. St. Bernard's dog is a treat too especially for dog lovers such as myself. Parking is not an... More

Charming Historic Register experience. Lot's of stairs and not much a/c. Serve yourself buffet breakfast and they make eggs and pancake to order. Lovely old building.Tiny sign makes it a challenge to find. Ask locals for help. Hopeless after dark.

Love old historic places. Great fresh breakfast. The issue we had was that no matter which room or even outside, there were huge flying roaches! It would be good to get rid of. Yes, it is near the jungle but if the garden in the back did not look like a overgrown crowded jungle, perhaps the roaches would be next... More

I'm having a similar experience to another reviewer who had stayed here many years ago and who seemed to wrestle with some fundamental issues of fairness when comparing the current Manoa Valley Inn with what it once was. The inn's ownership over the past thirty years has changed a number times. It even faced possible demolition at one point though... More

This is one of my trickier reviews! Myself & my wife first visited Manoa Valley Inn some years ago & enjoyed our visit. We decided to spend a couple of nights there during our most recent visit. On the plus side - this is a tranquil, reasonably priced Inn overlooking Waikiki & Diamond Head. It has a very zen feeling... More

My wife and I stayed at the Manoa Valley Inn for 2 nights during our trip to Oahu.We liked the fact that it was away for the busy areas of Honolulu. We opted for the Dole Junior suite. From the description, we knew the view wouldn't be as good as some of the more expensive rooms, and we were fine... More

The property was quite old, being around here for about 100 years and is listed on National Register of Historic Places. I love antique furniture and do not mind a bit of shabbiness while traveling around, so I liked the Inn quite a lot. But it may not be the right place for you if you are seeking modern comfort... Our group reserved two rooms, both were smelly, musty and dusty. Our rooms were on the third floor, no elevator, and parts of the staircase did not have handrails. Bathroom facilities were primitive. Pillows smelled musty; bedding and towels had never seen hot water or bleach. Signage for the Inn was difficult to see…we located it by process of elimination.... More

My husband and I recently got married in Honolulu. We now live on the mainland, but both our families still live on Oahu. We hotel hopped during our 2 1/2 week stay, so we experienced all different types of accommodations. We booked the Master Suite for the night before and night of our wedding. This is one of the larger... More

If it wasn't for the outstanding, responsive and sympathetic customer service, I would rate this place horribly. After a snafu with rooms & construction, Manoa Valley definitely tended to our concerns as best as they possible could. I appreciated their efforts. This place is definitely an antiques-lovers dream/photographer's heaven because it captures and embraces the "old world Victorian" feel. The... More
