Cheaper than a lot of hotels on waikiki and yet one of the best in my opinion. It is well situated, the view from the room windows is beautiful, it is very clean, there is a very wary warm ambiance and the staff is amazing. Great aloha spirit! Trust me, you will love your stay in this hotel just like I did (twice!).

We did our wedding block at Queen Kapiolani. It was great! Everyone working there was so thoughtful and kind. Valet was a breeze. We took advantage of their beach chairs and towels all the time. Walking distance to all that Waikiki offers. Their coffee shop was great and the dole whip was so refreshing. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Itzia and Julie for helping us stay here.

Cute room with a little couch perfect for my 3 days alone to enjoy Waikiki. Located walking distance from beach and shops and it was nice that it was toward the less commercial end of the beach so if you walked SE you could find some less touristy beaches. But there is coffee right there in the lobby and the restaurant ,Deck, has great options for room service or seated dining, all 3 meals.

I get paid to fly for a living. As a flight attendant, we look for comfort, but just as important: Location Location Location. Close to public transport, restaurants, attractions. This place ticked off allll those Musts and more! It's right across the beautiful park, and you can hear the animals in the zoo! Become a member! A nice stroll down to the beach, and the locals pier. Beach us a little quieter on this end, and it's a perfect spot every night to camp out and watch The most perfect sunset. On your way back to the hotel, stop by ABC and grab some fresh cut pineapple to enjoy on your balcony while you watch the sun come up over Diamond Head. And the beautiful local birds come from the park to join you. Consider yourself in Paradise! The public transport is right out the front door, but its location is perfect to stroll to many places. This hotel underwent renovations since my ideal stay, so now it must be even better than Perfect! Ahui hou!!…

Location is key, 1-1/2 from Waikiki beach. If you rented a car, it’s easy access in and out. Rooms average size and in decent shape for older hotel. Our house keeper Ming was Amazing, everyone should strive to be this good! She’s always happy and helpful!!

We booked our room last minute after needing to leave a bad air bnb. They got us a beautiful room no problem and we’re so kind about our situation. We even got a delicious local pineapple juice to enjoy while we checked in. The property is beautiful and open. The room is gorgeous and very clean. The restaurant, coffee shop, and pool are all great. The third floor can get a little loud but everything closes at a decent time and quiets down. We love the mid century Hawaii decor. Great place to stay and will definitely return.

Everything was fabulous, from the helpful Bell staff and front desk to the amenities and comfort of the room and pool. Location was perfect, hotel even gives you a beach chair, towels. Only a short block from the beach. Right across the street from Honolulu Zoo! Perfect for families . A bunch of offered excursions for a price (we enjoyed a turtle crater Snorkeling trip which was lovely). $75, 3 times a day, booked through the Blue Hawaiian concierge on site. Loved the retro vibe and the older, large rooms. Heat and cool worked great especially if you love a loud white noise to lull you to sleep from the old school a.c. We requested and got a king room, which may have been a problem if they’d been out of them, which was a much better deal. Pool was great, as was the deck bar and grill. So enjoyed the signature soap, shampoo and lotion, frig. in room. Shower was tricky to figure out: you had to pull out on the faucet thing where the water comes out. Hubby had to do it for me as I am evidently weak. One slight problem, and for me it was huge: no coffee in our room which was M10. Maybe other rooms had it, but huge huge issue when you have to leave at 4:00am to catch a plane. With all the amenities and awesome location, this was the only issue. Not a coffee to be had in the lobby either, they want you to buy one in the cafe, which opens at 6. Sure missed the days when hotels offered free shuttles, but Ubers were affordable and near. Special Tip, if you have an early flight to catch: There was a flat rate cab offered to us: $33 +tax to the airport from anywhere in Honolulu, be sure you ask about that if you have an early morning flight to catch because although the Uber price was probably the same, during normal hours, when u have to be at the airport before 5am, Ubers may need to be prearranged, and then they cost more., for us it was $10 more, but would not want to risk not getting one.…

The rooms were a little small, but we splurged and got an ocean view and it was definitely worth it! We also loved that the restaurant downstairs was connected to the pool and had a great bar! The location was the best part though! A quick three minute walk to the beach and they provided chairs and towels if you wanted! So awesome!

This is a lovely and conveniently located hotel, and very reasonably priced. The vintage surfer vibe is fun, the rooms are very clean and well appointed, and the staff if very friendly. Only thing I missed was an in room coffee maker. We will be staying again in the future!

Terrible old hotel! NOT 4 stars! 50 valet parking and they expect tips every time you take your car out! The room is so old and dingy. I am so disappointed in this hotel! The bathroom is tiny! Do not believe the reviews. Please learn from my mistake.
