Lee and the beach team are outstanding!! We stay here at least once/twice a year and they are always so welcoming - best service in the world.. would definitely recommend staying at the Moana Surfrider.

Can't comment on the Alohilani but I've been frequenting the Moana since 1979 and stayed as recently as Jan 1 for a few days. Time, and fitting into the plans of others meant I did not stay as long as I wanted. Guess this is testimony to my preference and therefore recommendation.
The Moana is an old school establishment, to be enjoyed and not rushed. In the old building the rooms are a tad small but very comfortable. This is not a slick, polished generic place. It has charm and reeks of a bygone era. Enjoy, hope these comments help🌴
