Phenomenal visit. We loved the attention to detail throughout the hotel. From floral arrangements to bathroom amenities to the clean and well kept higher end furniture in the room. The hotel looks as if it is in its ‘hay day’ although it’s been around for many years. Everything was tended to as if we were honored guests. We were accommodated at every turn. We needed laundry done and returned to us without much notice. They executed this no problem and we’re very eager to serve and please. Perfect for adults or families with older children who want to be far from the Spring Break fray of Waikiki.
The hotel is a tranquil beauty with unmatched service. One of our favorite hotels and we have been staying for the last 30 years. Always beautiful and great service. The pool area is relaxing with beautiful views of Diamondhead and the pool temperature perfect. Rooms perfectly appointed and great service throughout the hotel.
The Halekulani is perfect. I can't find a single place for improvement. Service - Impeccable! Everyone - check in staff, housekeeping, pool attendants, restaurant staff, made me feel special. Every need taken care of, some before even asking. Accommodations - fresh, clean, and beautiful rooms with a lanai spacious enough to enjoy dining outdoors. Pool - sparkling clean. Lounge chairs have thick padding so they are extremely comfortable. Fun treats delivered to you at your pool chair throughout the day. Food - we enjoyed a daily breakfast buffet and everything was scrumptious. Buffet included traditional eggs and bacon items, charcuterie items, fruit and yogurts, pastries, miso soup and fixings, and a made to order omelette bar. Location - so close to everything we wanted in Waikiki. Never got in a car, except for one excursion to the other side of the island. I dream of returning. …
This hotel offers over the top excellent service, from the time you get out of the car until you check out. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. Maid service is full service including turn down. Instead of putting chocolates on the pillow they put a gift such as a flashlight that can be attached to your key chain. The linens/towels are top notch. The toilet seat is heated and is worth the price of admission in that it raises its lid when you approach and flushes when you are finished and then puts the lid down again. The concierge is excellent and arranged restaurant reservations as well as transportation to the airport. The hotel is walking distance to shopping and restaurants, right on the beach and close to the canal which is a lovely walk.
If you are looking for the perfect hotel that pays attention to every detail, then you need to stay here. The ambiance is peaceful from the moment you step onto the resort. From the warm welcome to the perfectly curated room, Halekulani is an experience that you will never forget.
Yes, it is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for! Staff are wonderful, well trained, professional, and most of all friendly. Have been staying here fro over 20 years, and don't plan to stay anywhere else when on Oahu!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The staff was kind and friendly especially the valets. The overall vibe was quiet and peaceful. The hotel location does provide some privacy along the beach. We spent a lot of time on our balcony. In the morning we would sit out and listen to the waves. In the afternoon I would get some sun from the lounger and enjoy a book. In the evening you could hear the entertainment from House without a Key. Each room has an ipad that you can use to schedule housekeeping services and reservations. I highly recommend scheduling the turn down service! Otherwise the time housekeeping shows up varies by several hours. We didn't do this the first few nights and housekeeping, while very polite, would show up when it was not convient. We did eat at Orchards one night and it was good. We had several meals at House Without a Key. The food was wonderful but I wish the menu would have varied or had rotating options every few days. We grabbed breakfast from the Halekulani bakery across the street a couple of days and ate on the balcony. There is an ABC store very close to the hotel so we were able to purchase drinks to keep in our room. If we were to travel to Oahu again I would stay here no question.…
I have traveled all over the world and this is the hotel I return time after time. The service is impeccable and the facilities are magnificent. The rooms and common spaces were redone during the pandemic and they are beautiful
It’s been a few years since we last stayed at the Halekulani and we were a little worried our stay wouldn’t live up to our perfect memory of Halekulani. But we were not disappointed, as our stay was yet again perfect in every way! This time we visited on our honeymoon and with our 12 month old child. We had a crib pin our room and baby bath amenities as well in our arrival. The hotel itself was a beautiful as ever, and the room extremely clean. Housekeeping was very friendly and lovely, as were the pool and restaurant staff and hotel valet. We are at both House without a key and Orchids restaurant for dinner and both were lovely although Orchids was outstanding and well priced for such a beautiful restaurant in wonderful setting and location and amazing food, wine and service. Breakfast at both these restaurants was also wonderful. The location of the Halekulani couldn’t be better, it is very centrally located but once with the hotel grounds calm and relaxing. The concierge was very helpful and a special thank you to the hotel who didn’t charge us for the first night accommodation when we called ahead on the planned day of arrival to say our flight had been cancelled and we would be arriving a day late. The Halekulani is perfect in every way, it is really the best hotel in Waikiki and you will not be disappointed. It is one of the few hotels I have stayed at which truly deserves 6 stars.. a shame I cannot rate it as such here! We will be coming back for many years to come! Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!! …
Not a bad hotel. Sadly we were relocated to this hotel from the Four Season due to google booking out the hotel. While this is not comparable to the four seasons, this hotel is very nice. The rooms seemed a bit outdated but everything was very clean and the staff was amazing. There is no real beach here though there is some access somewhat. Food and restaurants were amazing on the property. Not the location we wanted as it's a VERY busy area, but with that said, I'd stay here again if I needed to.
