This is a perfect example of a period renovated BnB. The house is from somewhere in the late 1800s and the decor and history surrounding the house is an amazing extra touch to our wine tour. They have a lot of free wine tasting options and deals associated with staying here too. Diane and ken were great hosts and even...

I booked this weekend after a phone conversation with Ken McConnell, one of our Innkeepers and hosts! I felt the warmth and hospitality from the first conversation, when I told Ken we were celebrating a birthday, and he offered to make a chocolate cake. Ken and Diane attended to every detail, and were very attentive to our dietary concerns and...

My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway for our anniversary. We stayed at Barristers Bed and Breakfast and enjoyed every minute of it!! They made the weekend very special for us complete with an anniversary cake in our room. Ken cooks amazing breakfasts, while Diane is A+ at making reservations, helping with itineraries and producing free coupons for many...

The most wonderful bed and breakfast, 5 star breakfast, and charming hosts!!! What a pleasure to stay here in this welcoming B&B, our room was so cozy and comfortable, plus ZuZu slept here in this very bed. My wife and I spent two great nights with Ken and Diane. The beds were great.....the sheets were fantastic. Of course, Ken's breakfasts were a real treat. They were very helpful during our visit, including assistance in locating my grandfather’s grave. Finally, I left my sunglasses in the room and they were waiting for me at home after we finished...

Wonderful house, beautifully restored and great breakfast with terrific hosts. It has the added benefit of being within a short and very pleasant walk to one of the best restaurants ever -- The Kitchen at the Hotel Clarence. Both the B&B and the restaurant are well worth a special trip to this very interesting town.

Barrister's was very welcoming right from the moment we stepped through the door. They were accommodating for our group of four and made us feel right at home. The location is great and a short walk into the downtown area where there are restaurants and pubs. I think all the rooms are nice although some are a little smaller than...

It is really not necessary to write a review of the Barrister because it has all been said before. This is a truly special place made all the more extraordinary by Ken and Diane. It is immediately evident that they love sharing their amazing home with each and every one of their guest. I would say that they treat you...

We stayed with Diane and Ken for two nights last month in Erin's Retreat, which accommodated three of us very well. The living room of this suite-type room had a couch, 2 comfy chairs and a twin-sized daybed for our adult daughter --- she said it was the most comfortable bed of the entire two-week vacation. The king bed in...

My wife and I picked Barristers en route to Vermont. It is a beautiful old building that has been meticulously restored. The stained glass is all original as is the wood work. It is bright and airy and the floors have that comforting creaking sound that gives it a lot of character. We stayed in the Yellow Rose room. It...
