We really enjoyed our time at the cabin - it is beautiful and you can just tell how much dedication and passion went in to building it. Every detail accounted for all the way to signs on the property naming each tree, shrub and mountains in view. Had breakfast in the main house and the Sourdough pancakes were great! Felt...

Imagine someone who goes into the woods to choose the right trees, cuts them down, pulls them out with horses, then has them transported over a frozen lake to his homesite. Then he artfully carves each log, puts them together beautifully, and creates a perfect cabin on a lovely lake. Then he and his wife outfit the place comfortably, including...

An amazing place! In spite of clouds preventing us from ever having a clear view of the mountains everything here was perfect. The grounds are interesting and a museum in and of itself. Jim and Linda were great hosts, very accommodating from suggestions of places to see to having breakfast either cooked in their home or a continental delivered to...

We are so grateful to Jim and Linda Marchini for their warm hospitality the three nights we stayed there this August. Every detail of their one-cabin B&B reflects care and pride. The story of how they wound up here, told colorfully at the breakfast table over Jim’s sourdough pancakes in their amazing hand-built home, would be worth the stay alone....

I stayed in Willow Lake Cabin in July with my family and I only can say good things about this place. Cabin is amazing. Close the the Willow Lake. Views are completely amazing. You feel a special relax in that place. From the front of the cabin you could see the Wrangell Mountains of the Wrangell St. Elias National Park....

This cozy little log cabin is comfortable and relaxing. A perfect place to unwind after driving. What really sets this B&B apart are the hosts. They live in a log house, built by Jim, and it is filled with 45+ years of museum quality items from ivory to many taxidermy animals and birds that, over the years, Jim has trapped...

the cabin was built by our host mostly by himself . And he did well . A spacious , cosy , and very comfortable cabin with everything you might need or want and a good breakfast . The view is gorgeous . Jim will show you his stuffed animals collection ( all hunted and stuffed by the man himself) and...

We are nearing the end of our Alaska trip, and it is clear that Willow Lake was the best. As I read what others have posted regarding the view from the cabin, none of the gushing comments does justice to the incredible view. And I won't even try. I hope it surprises you as it surprised us. It didn't hurt...

We enjoyed our brief stay at the Willow Lake B&B. It was nicely furnished and the owners were friendly and accommodating. The cabin was quiet and the bed was very comfortable with cozy sheets. There were lots of mosquitoes, expected for being next to the lake, but repellent may be necessary. Other reviewers speak of the taxidermy collection in the...

WE had a great stay here over Memorial Day Weekend. The cabin was clean and well stocked and the view was spectacular with ducks and swans landing right in front of the cabin. The sourdough pancakes were a great way to get the day started.
