Please don't stay here! We stayed here on September 17, 2016 and our room was filled with toxic fumes from a little heater fueled by a big tank of fuel right beside this room! So we had to keep the door open for a little bit but even that didn't take away the toxic smell bc the heater kept spewing... More

We booked three nights here from Australia two months ago but we did not realize how bad this place was. We were allocated room 5 which has a shared bthroom with three other rooms. They have 4 other rooms with their own toilet and shower. We othered to pay any extra cost to change to the other area but was... More

My friend and I recently spent a night at the Old Town Copper Center Inn on our way to Valdez. It was well worth the stop! There was a slight mix up with our room (for which I blame the booking website, not them) where we thought we had booked a room with two beds but arrived to find only... More

A very nice place with clean and comfy rooms and strong wifi and friendly staff. Great food in the restaurant next door. The only negative is that the walls are paper thin so that you can hear the neighbours TV or shower etc. We had the misfortune that our neighbours checked out around 6am and were up an hour earlier... I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. We had been driving for some time and when we pulled up I was a bit sceptical. The interior was very different than the appearance on the outside. The burgers and homemade fries were worth the drive. Don't let the outside deter you.

Stayed in a room with shared bathroom, knew what we getting into and it was very nice, comfortable room. Had groovy little fridge, window fan, great tv with lots of channels, both single beds very comfortable with great pillows (much appreciated after camping). The shared bathroom was clean and easily accessible with single soaps, shampoo, conditioner and lots of towels.... More

Reasonably priced room with a shared bathroom. We stayed in room 7 which had a view of the road and two single beds. Very tight for three adults and one child. We were next to the bathroom so we could hear if other guests were there. Staff neglected to have enough toilet paper so you can imagine how that went.... More

We stayed 3 nights here at the end of our holiday in Alaska and enjoyed it. The scenery in this part of Alaska is quite spectacular. The Inn on some sites appears as a 2 storey building but in fact that was burnt down in 2012 and the restaurant has been re-built as a separate building with an accommodation block... More

After a long day of driving from Eagle River and ATVs along the way, we stopped at the restaurant for an early dinner with our friends from Minnesota. Hamburgers are huge! The bread is bigger than the large burger, however, but lots of cheese and veggies on top. French fries were hand cut and fresh but not crispy. Delicious all... More

We travel for several hours and finally put in the GPS info and couldn't locate the Inn. We stopped and ask where it was. We were right in front of it. It was a small 3-4 room place. Not at all what we expected from the pictures. We cancelled our reservations.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Old Town Copper Center Inn and Restaurant (formerly Copper Center Lodge) is a family owned and operated business since 1948. The original historic lodge burned down in May of 2012 leaving all of the historic outbuildings still intact. Tom and Kim Huddleston reinvented the business by opening their new restaurant in the old Club 96 building that had been recently remodeled. They have added a menu of beer and wine to to the great menu they already have. The new business currently has 4 new rooms with private baths & 3 rooms with shared, (that may be rented as a family unit)offered to travelers who wish to enjoy the majestic surroundings of the Wrangell Mountains and famous Copper and Klutina rivers located in their backyard. Many activities are enjoyed around Old Town Copper Center such as skiing, fishing, hunting, sightseeing, birding, and much more.
