We stayed for three nights in the elk lodge. It was close to west thumb area and about a 45 min drive to Old Faithful area. There are three restaurants there. Only one of them requires reservations (we got them three months in advance). The...More

As most everyone has stated, the rooms are VERY small for the price you are paying. It was quite crowded for our family of four. My other complaints: fridge is also quite small, the rooms are dark...truly not enough lighting, and it would have been...More

We realized we were paying premium rates to stay inside the park, but we were shocked at the accommodations!!! Extremely overpriced for the old old facility! We would recommend staying outside the park to avoid these absurd prices?

The rooms were nice but one big negative is that there is no lobby or lounge area in any of these lodges. There also isn't an area in the registration building where a group (large or small) could congregate. Moreover, the staff at this lodge...More

They do NOT have A/C. None of the lodges/hotels do. However, this usually isn't a problem as the nights can get somewhat chilly in Yellowstone. No TVs either, but you probably already knew that.

Don't think there are shuttles. The only bridge I can think of is Fishing Bridge near Yellowstone Lodge. Great for early morning photos. several places serving food, but can be crowded.
