Pebble Creek Campground is really nice, but fills up early. The camp host has been hosting for 18 years. Nice setting, good camp spots. There is a tent only section that you walk a small way in, but it isn't very private. It would be good for a group of tenting friends. We were in #16. there are a lot... More

We were pleasantly surprised with this campground. It wasn't on our radar, but everything else in the park was full and we got the last available campsite at Pebble Creek around 10:00 a.m...so don't waste any time getting here or anywhere else in the park if you do not have a reservation! The campground was nothing fancy but was scenic... More

My son and i had no reservation on a July Day and knowing that we left Cody around 5 am and arrived before 7 a.m. and were able to get a great site. The hosts were so great and on top of the check-in process early in the morning. So if you can arrive from the north entrance and dont'... More

My wife and I had a great time tent camping at Pebble Creek. We visited Yellowstone specifically for wildlife viewing, so it's location in Lamar Valley was perfect. Although the one day we spent in the thermal areas required a long drive, our remote location was worth it! Our site, #25, was perfect--five stars. However, we got very lucky (hence... More

If your in the park to see wildlife, this is the place you should stay. Lots of wildlife viewing opportunities just around the corner. Here you are in the wilderness. Real close to the Lamar Valley. Very helpful and friendly hosts.

We had originally booked a campground in Jackson (see that review, UGH) but it didn't work out so we pressed on into the park at 2am to see what we could find. We pulled over where we had some internet service and found all spots last weekend were booked up. But they said there were some "first come first serve"... More

During the peak summer season, we typically stay outside the Park and then get up early to stalk the campgrounds, which is about the only way one can get a decent site at this time of the year. Slough Creek was already full and/or spoken for at 7:30 am (the host told us try again at 5:30 a.m. the next... More

This is a small and intimate campground in the NE part of the park. If you are into wildlife, it is likely the best place to stay due to it's close proximity of the Lamar Valley. The hosts were friendly and most helpful. Best of all, it is quiet!

Pebble is one of my favorite campgrounds where I have stayed during a few trips this season. It is in a beautiful location, right by Lamar valley where I have seen an abundance of wildlife, particularly wolves. I woke to wolves howling right by the campground my last visit. On previous earlier visits, I have seen a grizzly bear right... More

Great campground! It is primitive, which is what we wanted. The hosts were helpful and friendly. It is first come gets a spot, so we felt lucky to find a place, getting there early afternoon. Was there with my husband and our four boys, and they loved it. Saw bison close to our camp each day. Even had a mule... More

“Stayed in site 11 which had parking for 2 vehicles, shade (maybe too much if you are cold-blooded) and slightly more elbow room. There is a stream just across the drive that provided nice ambient sound. Next time am going to shoot for site 9, 20 or 26 which are directly on Pebble Creek and in the sun. If you need a pull-through site 16 is nice. There are also 4 walk-ins on the creek (22-25).”
