We were recently camping in trailers at Canyons campground and found the sites to be VERY close together. When our neighbors went to use their table and fire we had to all decide who's table and fire ring were who's. Not that it mattered because we were all about 30 feet from each other. The checkin process was smooth and...

Though the campground was full most of the time we were there, the sites were spaced out enough that you still had privacy. The washrooms are clean and have mirrors which is a plus. The close by (walking distance) showers are clean and have a lot of room (2 free showers per night). The general store, gift shop and visitor...

Wonderful location for southern part of park and Grand Tetons. Pretty private and nice campsites given its size. About 15 minutes from Old Faithful and 30ish from Canyon. Northern part of park would be a hike. Showers are great (12-15 stalls very little wait) and you get 2 free per night and then pay nominal amount. We were in one...

We stayed two nights in Madison campground and two nights here at Canyon. This was a much better campground. The lots were spaced out much more and you were more in touch with nature. We saw a deer 20 ft from our rv. The location is also very nice being right in the middle of the park.

If you want to camp in the park and want to have the comfort of knowing you have a campsite waiting for you when you arrive to Yellowstone, this is the way to go. There are more secluded places to camp, but many of those don't take advance reservations. That means arriving early and driving around until you see someone...

Camped here during a rainy spell. No problem (we thought) - just use a tarp. Ha! We pitched the tent and went to dinner. When we returned from dinner, the entire site was under water, including our tent. Would be nice if they could keep track of the low sites and try to not assign them to tenters during rainy...

This is a nice developed campground for both tents and trailers near Yellowstone Falls in the park. They do allow soft sided trailers here. Good bathrooms with a sink for washing your dishes. A very wooded site with reasonable privacy and fire rings and picnic tables at each site. There are many sites with bear boxes for storing food. The...

Canyon is the best tent campground, that takes reservations, in the park. There is plenty of shade and level grounds for your tent. The bathrooms and cleaning stations (they have rooms for you to clean your dishes, pots and pans with running water and properly dispose of trash that are bear safe) are just a short walk from any of...

We stayed at Canyon for 5 nights. The campsite was extremely wooded and was a quick walk away to flush toilets and running water. We also had a Bear Box on site. It has the best location on the Grand Loop. We were surrounded by "animal opportunities" just north and south of us. We could drive to all of the...

We stayed here for three nights. There were bathrooms with soap, running water, and flush toilets very close by as well as a dish washing station with sinks and counters. We stayed at the tetons immediately following this and I realized that we'd been lucky to have all these amenities at Canyon. The showers are located near the check-in and...
