The Ahwahnee Hotel is a beautiful historic hotel. Our room was very nice with spectacular views. The hotel lobby has 2 big stone fireplaces that were in full use the three days we stayed in November. We had dinner in the main dining room which looks similiar to Hogwarts and we also ate in the Ahwahnee bar which has a...

Location - fantastic. You are right in the middle of Yosemite valley Room - we were in one of the cabins. (723) Which looked quite nice but bathroom was basic. There was a mousetrap clearly visible by the sofa and in the winter it was just about warm enough but the little heater and radiator didn't make it feel cozy...

In October, the Lodge was fully booked but I wanted to visit anyway. Note the name has changed so the road signs are a little confusing. On a beautiful October Friday, it was wildly busy [a large family reunion]; we did not manage even a glass of wine on the patio [we DI>D manage to order one but a half...

My wife and I have been to apex six Vintners Holidays at the Old classic hotel in Yosemite Valley over the last sW 10 YEARS. We did one November 27 through the 29, 2016. I have stayed in some heritage hotels in Asia before, with rooms that are nicely furnished, ie. cozy, upmarket, and equipped with modern amenities. This is definitely not one of them. For around USD500 a night and armed with AAA four diamond rating, I would have expected the room to be of a higher standard and not so budget. The...

First, I feel that it's only fair to disclose that we were upgraded from a different property to the Ahwahnee/ Majestic because of a power outage. The Ahwahnee has a generator/ backup power source and therefore was not impacted by the valley-wide outage. Which is something to note if you are traveling with any special needs. That said, we did...

Travel in time empowered by the majesty of Yosemite National Park. Apart from a name change, little else differs at this historic hotel. The sense of nostalgia within the vast dining hall harks back to a grander time where dinner is an occasion of a scale equal to your surrounds. Bedrooms are simple and comfortable with modern facilities. This hotel...

We stayed here as part of our tour of Yosemite. WOW...staying in the park makes life easy. This hotel is historic and has so much character. The grounds are spectacular. You can sit outside and enjoy a beverage and the view. There are walking paths on the property also. Our room was large with a comfortable bed. Bathroom small as...
