We stayed at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel with our family of 5 including 3 children in September 2017. We stayed in a standard room with 2 queen beds & a roll out. It was a tight fit but still comfortable & we didn't spend much...More
I mean for Pete's Sake. I get $500/night is not as much as the Four Seasons would be in a world-class destination, but I still expect a room that doesn't make me want to shampoo the carpet or give the bathroom tile grout a good...More
After waiting years for the trip and booking a year in advance, my wife and I just returned for our visit to the Majestic. We had a featured room with a balcony and was as I had reserved, However the room was smelling strongly of...More

You don't necessarily have to book your stay so far in advance, but I am sure it would help. We stayed at the Majestic for 2 nights last week. I made the reservation approximately 1 month prior using the web site. August is the busiest time at the park so initially there was no availability at the Majestic for the nights we wanted, but I visited the web site every day for 5 or 6 days to check availability and sure enough I was eventually able to see the nights we wanted had opened up and I secured a reservation. You need to be persistent and keep going back because they do get cancellations regularly. And yes, they only update the web site reservation data once a day after midnight Pacific time, so if you visit the site early in the morning each day, you can see what has opened up.
