When we arrived Carol and Neal immediately welcomed us. What a lovely couple. The little bear cabin where we stayed was really cosy and warm. It wasn't really big but every thing you need is there..you do need to like bears cause everything, and I mean everything is with bears..the lamp, table bed etc etc..if you put in some porcelain...

The owners were very nice and helpful! We did not know that there were so many stairs in the unit! 4 levels total - it would have been nice to know with a toddler but we managed. Everything was clean and it was a very relaxing stay! It was nice to sit on the patio and drink coffee in the...

The rooms although clean were rather cramped with insufficient space for storage. The extensive bear motifs did nothing to improve the overall look of the place which was rather dreary. The owner seemed very disinterested in the guests and there was no helpful introduction what Yosemite has to offer; not much apparently. He did, however, point us in the direction...

Four adults in our party stayed two nights at the Cozy Bear. The primary focus of the owners is their bear decor and not customer service or comfort. The duplex home is tiny and over crowded with bear decor. In one bedroom there is less than a foot at the end of the bed. Basic items missing: no ice trays...

A rather small semi detached, poorly designed house that is very close to the owners huge workshop which is equipped with every conceivable mechanical device, unfortunately the owner likes to play with his very noisy toys first thing in the morning, so you will be woken by the roar of his Bobcat fork lift followed by his compressor and tractor....

We stayed here with friend. Such a funny little place where every room is filled with bears and crafts. Neil made us welcome. After our long flight then drive from San Fran it was great to have the place to ourselves and relax. The valley is about 30 minutes away and the photo opportunities along the way are amazing. We...

My wife and I visited Yosemite for 3 days and slept in Cozy Bear for 2 nights. It's a great place to stay in, a bit outside of the valley but in a great location. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need including a washing machine and a drier, and the only thing you need is just to...

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Yosemite National Park and found the accommodation comfortable and the hosts welcoming. It’s located between the Wawona Hotel and Yosemite Village, minutes away from the turn off for Glacier Point and as the name suggests has a “bear” theme :)

We stayed for 3 nights in Little Bear Cottage at the end of a 3 week holiday in California and were grateful for the homely touches after being away from our own home and in and out of hotels for a while. No wifi as the other reviews suggest, but while we found it strange to be 'isolated' for 3...

First, the good. The people who run Cozy Bear are nice and welcoming. The location is great--close to all the major stuff to see in Yosemite. Basics were also met, meaning the sheets and towels were clean, etc. Beyond the basics, however, Cozy Bear Cottages were a disappointment. My objections are as follows: *Cleanliness a problem. The cottage was dotted...

“Duplex on the owners property.”

“From what we understand, Cozy Bear South and Cozy Bear North are identical inside. It's possible that, being less shady, the North unit's patio would have fewer mosquitoes in the evening. I think the South unit is slightly more private, however, since there are no close neighbors on that side.”
