We loved the Cozy Bear. We stayed in a hillside two-bed, two-bath chalet (three flights of stairs inside, two flights outside) located one driveway before the main house. It was so spacious and comfortable. The loft bedroom with vaulted ceilings upstairs was huge. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. (There's a nice grocery store in Yosemite...

We went there on the basis of trip advisor reviews only and were not disappointed. The owners are next door if you need anything. The place was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The location required some driving, but not too much.We would stay there again, and reccomend it to friends. We had three nights and really enjoyed our time here. I think the location is about as good as you can get. Not much more than 20 - 30 minutes to the Valley Floor via a spectacular drive, and then about the same to the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees (not to be missed). Yosemite West is a very nice...

My summary would be that I would recommend this place to stay while visiting Yosemite. Cons: Ants in lower bathroom (we just had a similar experience in a hotel in San Francisco two nights before) Dust and Cobwebs (they need to get someone in to do a good cleaning once every few years. Look under the master bed and the...

We stopped here for two nights in June. It was a great location, inside the park and handy for all the major sights. The owners were friendly, easy to deal with by email and not worried that we only required a short stay. The cottage was very clean, great bathroom and master bedroom. The second bedroom was probably more suitable...

This was a nice quiet cottage in Yosemite near the road to Glacier Point. There is everything you need including a full kitchen, laundry facilities and a lovely warm fire in the sitting room. This was very welcome as we needed that plus the heating as it was quite cold at night. The owners were very friendly and helpful and...

Cozy Bear Cottages is a great place to stay when visiting Yosemite NP. It is warm and inviting. The kitchen has the necessary items to make all your meals if you are so inclined and there is a gas grill and seating outdoors. There is plenty of hot water. It is private and quiet located not far from Mariposa Grove...

Anthony & Marion Marcelis Elk Grove, CA May 11, 2008 Cozy Bear Cottages are without a doubt THE place to stay while spending time in Yosemite. Not that far from the village, in Yosemite West just less then a mile past the exit road to Glacier Point. which makes it about 14 miles from the valley. 6000 feet high in...

We stayed at Coyote Walk for 4 days in April of 2008. The place was perfect for our needs. It is located inside the gates of the park, which is very convenient, was comfortable, nicely decorated with a well equiped kitchen and comfortable beds. The washer and dryer located downstairs were extremely handy to have. We would definitely come back...

Its a great place to stay and very close to Yosemite Valley. We came to stay in Yosemite valley for two days but our flight got delayed and we could only stay one night. They (Cozy Bear Cottages) were very understanding and even helped us book another cottage so we could stay the second day. The cottages were execellent; very...

“From what we understand, Cozy Bear South and Cozy Bear North are identical inside. It's possible that, being less shady, the North unit's patio would have fewer mosquitoes in the evening. I think the South unit is slightly more private, however, since there are no close neighbors on that side.”
