We stayed here for two nights. We didn't know however that we had to go shower in another campground (were you should pay 5$ for a shower... if you just walk through without saying anything, they don't charge you). Anyways, it was a good campground, 45 minutes drive from the Valley.

Campsite Host will harass you beware!! KEEP YOUR TENTS CLOSED ,CAR LOCKED, BEAR BOX CLOSED AT ALL TIMES AND NOTHING IN THE CAMPSITE. It is very difficult to get a reservation, the cost of a campsite $$$$$ and getting into to park was very pricey too, ton of bugs, the hilly campsites were terrible and TOO MANY PEOPLE at the...

Dad wanted to go on a last minute trip to Yosemite and I knew we'd probably be SOL for a nearby campsite. Lo and behold there was a spot open here (or well quite many), and I gleefully booked it although I was a bit wary of the lack of showers and the distance from the Valley. Arrival was fairly...

We stayed t campsite 505 I believe. It was on a small slant, but not early as bad as some of the other campsites. Where we stayed it was nice and quite and the only bear we saw in the park was near our campsite, so that was pretty cool. I don't know if they do this in all campsites...

We were lucky to get in to Crane Flat. The Tioga Pass only just opened, there was still plenty of snow and ice around. The helpful ranger at the station, one to two miles in from the eastern side, mentioned Crane Flat was open. While the sign said full at the campground when we got there ( Memorial Day weekend!),...

We booked 2 weeks before our trip and this campsite was the only site available inside yosimite. The location was 20 minutes from the ground floor. the campgrounds were very clean and the bathrooms were also clean. There are hiking trails inside this campground and there's a gas station and market across the street . I would stay here again

This is a very nice campground, low key and most importantly - away from the Valley. When I say away, I would say that it is about 30-40 minute drive from the Yosemite Visitor Center. Therefore, less crowded, less phony visitors and more nature lovers. As several of the previous reviews mentioned, the tent campsites are reasonably private (RV sites...

This was my first camping experience. We had couple of campsites at Crane Flat. Note: there is no flat terrain here, it's all hills. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The campsites are well maintained and have a good distance from one another to give good privacy. There is a proper restroom at the campsite and a convenient+gas station right opposite. The...

We ended up at this campground through a friend's reservation so didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! It's about 30 mins from Yosemite Valley and at a higher elevation. Campsites are spacious and surrounded by beautiful trees and meadows. It's very quiet and relaxing. There aren't any showers but the bathroom facilities are clean and there is...

I found out about Crane Flat campground (stayed in the 100-loop) when a friend booked the site for Oct 2014. I returned in Aug 2015 with friends and stayed at site 504. I really like Crane Flat for the following reasons: 1) it's away from the crowd in the valley (the sites are more spacious, and no. screaming. kids.) ,...
