To add to the post above, it is another 30 to 35 minutes from the valley up to the Big Trees Lodge at Wawona. So you will need to plan for about 2.5 hours from where you enter the park on the east side on Highway 120 to get to Big Trees. This is to account for traffic in the valley and for expected scenery stops.
