Where do I even begin?! The rooms were filthy, there was no seating provision in the rooms, the water heaters wouldn't work, the chef decided to take leave and we couldn't get a decent bite to eat. We were served with a "meal" we did not order and that too was revolting (had to give it away to the guards without even having a taste) and to add a cherry to the cake, we were forced to have breakfast even when we clearly stated we needed to leave in a rush. Beware, the shining reviews on this place seen properly fabricated as the place is NOTHING like it is made out to be! Horrid... if I could give it negative stars, I totally would!
Went to Storms for a relaxing break! That is was..It was exceptional, we will definitely come back. The rooms are amazing with towels, soap, shampoo etc . We had breakfast in the woods and the manager and staff went out of there way to make us enjoy our holiday, the staff served us with smiles on their faces no matter how much mess we made! Food was cooked to perfection and it was ample! Great stuff, these guys deserve a pay rise. Amazing
traveled to storm with my family for a weekend and the place was lovely. the best part is that they even provided a baby coat for my son which was a big plus for me. the place I very accessible because i could manage the terrain with a saloon car and it was raining, the meals and room were perfect. the staff were so so friendly and always made my family and feel at home ......absolute value for money .. love the palace
Spent a few hours here on our way to Nanyuki. Lovely warm welcome and served tea and mandazi. Lovely oasis with well kept grass areas. Didn't stay but the accommodation looked very comfortable. The standard is very high and very impressive.
While staying at Mt Kenya Safari Club for a conference, one of the club staff recommended we eat here. It was an hour drive from our hotel, but we had a Nanyuki driver with us. This place is way out of Nanyuki.... remote, but the grounds are interesting. The restaurant is small, with a large bar.it has a great ambience to it and the menu is huge! They offer curries as well as BBQ. We opted to try a full plate BBQ of lamb, beef, pork and chicken, a lamb curry, ugalli, and a dish of tomatoes and onions. Outstanding! It took them a good hour to make all this, but the service was outstanding and the food delicious! And it was terribly inexpensive! Worth the drive and time sitting drinking Tuskers waiting for dinner! Highly recommend the experience if you are looking for authentic Kenya BBQ.…
