In Kenya for 6 days with work but managed to build in a half day of freedom. Was recommended the Serena camp and it was fantastic. Ok, the entry to the park can be expensive ($85) but it will be worth it. Stayed for one night full board and went on an afternoon 'drive' (4500 Kenyan schillings). Very quiet at...

If there was a place to leave 10 STARS this would be it!!! We had three very rare days off here and the staff went above and beyond to make it perfect for us. The food was amazing. We spent our days driving and driving in rhino paradise, visiting the chimpanzee sanctuary and relaxing in the evening by the fire...

We stayed at the Sweetwater Camp as a part of our pre-trip to Kenya and Tanzania. The stay was wonderful. Where else can you see zebras, gazelles, birds, and even a rhino by just sitting on your porch. We saw both black and white rhinos on each of our three game drives. I really appreciated that there were no phones,...

A good experience starts with the people working there and Sweetwater has the friendliest, most helpful and attentive staff one could hope to find! The game drives are wonderful because there is such an abundance of animals here. Last night five elephants of varying sizes entertained us when they came to drink at the water hole, right outside the dining...

We went to Sweetwaters for a one night break last weekend. It started off on a wrong footing when the person manning the conservancy entrance asked us for a few hundred dollars as entrance fees, when we had been told the entrance for a little over 1,000 Kenya Shillings for citizens. I have no idea on what basis he had...

We left Nairobi at 8am on a Saturday morning . We drove leisurely through the road that inspired Elspeth Huxley to write the book " Flame trees of Thika" passing by several small towns thoroughly enjoying the scenery. Three and a half hours later after passing through the equator we arrived at Sweetwaters Serena Camp. One things we didn't know...

This was our first stop on our Africn adventure and it was an amazing start!! Our rooms were right by the watering hole where all of the animals come to drink day and night. The rooms are nice, the food is great and of course, the animals are spectacular!

You won't go wrong staying at this place. Location is inside the Ol Pejeta conservancy, home to the only 3 Northern White Rhinos left in the world. The camp and tents are well situated, extremely clean and have the best view. You can sit in front of the tents and view the animals rehydrating at the pond. The food was...
