Walking into the hotel, you'd be surprised by the Beautiful decor and relaxing set up of it (with an indoor and outdoor common area with hammocks, relaxing beds, etc...). Very quite and friendly atmosphere for our one night stay. Would definitely stay there again.

I had booked a room with a double bed and shared bathroom. The hotel is cosy with great views, but the bar next door has live music till 11 PM. While the music is very good, it is unfortunately loud enough to disrupt your sleep. The bathroom needs major improvement. Make sure you carry soap - they did not have...

We had a middle room in the main building (not one of the bungalows on the other side of the bridge). The view from the community terrace was great, but the matress and the walls in our room were very thin, so we did not sleep well. We had reserved three nights, but changed after one night to another Guesthouse....

Can't fault this place for value and service. It's in a quiet part of town but very accessible. Very good and knowledgeable staff. We had a mountain view room with en suite and air con. Great value and unbelievable views of the mountains and river. Would definitely stay there again.

My stay here was excellent! The location of the place is on a river bend with lush greenery, overlooking karst mountains. The scenery that I woke up to every morning is breathtaking. The place itself is nicely designed. I chose the double bedroom, which is located in a traditional wooden house on stilts - very homey ambience for me. The...

I arrived very early from a night bus that I miss judged from Luang Prabang. Right when the staff arrived in the morning, also on time prompt 7am, they helped me sort out my room. I miss booked the month and they cleared it up for me and did not charge me anything extra for the re booking. My room...

The Champa Lao is split over three sections - the bungalows, rooms on reception side, and the river/mountain view rooms over the road. We stayed in the mountain view rooms with air con and were extremely happy with our choice. We had a gorgeous view overlooking the river and could sit on the balcony and watch life go by. The...

A friend and I traveled to Van Vieng a few days ago and, though the town itself is teeming with embarrassingly drunk westerners, found this guesthouse to be a real gem. It's a minute or two away (by foot) from the beginning of the madness that is "town" (which is a huge plus). If you can manage to go from...
