The guesthouse is really a nice one with a great view and really nice owners. We slept in a three bed room because the bungalows are closed during the rainy season. Just need to mention that the bathroom is not that big but for the low price it's totally okay! We enjoyed our stay there :)

We got here on a Buddhist holiday long weekend and most places were full and made an unfortunate decision to stay here. I think the management had changed now contrary to what the reviewers say here, the place looked like it was owned by the chinese. The only good thing about his place was the view, the rest were awful,... More

Nam Song Garden is oriented at the northern side of the town so the right spot to enjoy a view on the mountains of Vang Vieng. The bungalows are very basic but they are clean, have comfortable beds and hot water. They are located in a flowery garden around a central place where you will find the Norwegian owner having... We (family of 4, 2 children) only visited the restaurant, we stayed some place else, but we really liked the restaurant; great view, good location, nice atmosphere, mixed clientele, clean, not expensive at all, friendly staff and above all very nice food!!

Norwegian owner Arni is a very personable and friendly person who will greet you and graciously offer his bike to you for a free trip for you to take or give you his waterproof bag so you can store your camera and money when you re tubing down the river. His cabins have a awesome view of the mountains and... More

The Nam Song guesthouse is owned by a man from Norway and his Lao wife. Great location , nice place and good prices. I didn't stay there as I had 10 days reserved across the street but met Arne the owner and we became good pals. The place is well located for a very short walk the the Smile Beach... More

Stayed at the Namsong for 2 nights in the bungalow. The only negative we had is that the shower wasn't warm as it was broke and there was slight damp in the room due to a really heavy amount of rain. However the view is sensational, the owner was brilliant (a Norwegian chap called Arne that was super helpful). Room... More

Stayed here one night and it was long enough. Took an end of row room in the block below the restaurant. Lovely views across the karst (and of the hot air balloon rides in the morning) but that was the extent of positives here. Room was cheap at 60,000 kip/night but it was sooooo shabby. Mosquito net (essential here as... More

We ended up here as it was one of the only guest houses we found after an hour searching around in the calm northern part of Vang Vieng that had available double rooms which fitted our requirements (less than 100.000 LAK, clean and with a good bed) as a lot of places were full. The room we got was actually... More
