My friends and I stayed for 3 nights in a 10 bed dorm. Definitely not the best but it wasn't bad! Breakfast included, a choice of omelette, fried egg or scrambled with tea and coffee. We pretty much had the hostel to ourselves, they let us use their laptop to put our music on through the speakers. They gave us...

When we arrived it was a bit confusing because there is just a small sign that sais "bountang hotel". On the top of the building is a larger sign that sais "mountain riverside boutique hotel" The staff is really friendly and helpful. The included breakfast (7:30-10:00) is good and you can choose between 4 things and 3 diffrend fruit shakes....

Checked into this hotel for one night. They have a hotel a few doors down which is more for dorms and group rooms and the double rooms are in the Bountang. We started off on the wrong foot by being told the wrong price for the room - we were told 70,000 kip initially but when we said yes to...

It was quite nice for its price. Decent breakfast (though not the best), and we loved the view from our room! The room and the restroom was clean for Lao standard, but it could have been better. I could see some spots that need to be cleaner. The young men working at the counter were kind, but we had to...

What ever you do, do not stay here! One of the most expensive hostels we've stayed at in Asia and by far the dirtiest. Bathrooms were filthy and they don't even change the bed sheets after guests leave, I watched the cleaners just remake the bed! My friend and I stayed in a dorm for four nights and over this...

I've stayed in a lot of crappy rooms in Asia. This place has to be the worst of the bunch. The bed sheets are dirty and I think the mattresses are made of wood. Plus, I'm pretty sure the cleaning staff stole my iPod and a bit of cash. The service staff, if and when they deign to acknowledge you,...

I didn't actually book to stay in this hotel. I was staying in Pan's Place (which is terrible). But I did spend a night here, and I couldn't believe I'd been staying in Pan's Place. The wifi is so much better at Bountang, the place was SO MUCH cleaner!!! The beds were comfier, the views are AMAZING. Close to shops...

Good price, great location, free breakfast and friendly staff. Internet service is spotty and often not available. Many local restaurants offer free internet with better service ( they gave us three different WiFi addresses in five days and none worked constantly). Small ants in the bed so ASK FOR BUG SPRAY, SPRAY AROUND BED AND LEAVE FOR A FEW HOURS....

The hotel is easy to be found, good location with a very nice view at the balcony. However, I found bedbugs on the mattress. No lockers in the room, only small ones new the receptionist. Bathroom was clean. Wifi in the room was rather weak but okay at the corridors and other places
