We stayed here for my parent's 25th wedding anniversary and it was a great experience. Hotel price/cost : very reasonable Staff : accommodating , very welcoming Hotel amenities : good specially executive but some needs improvement Location: very good, within the city but away from the congested area Food: very ilocano, "naimas" Overall experience : very good.

Several of my friends and I decided a month before that Balay da Blas would be our home-base when we pass through Laoag during our northern trip. So to avoid any last-minute glitches, we made our reservation about two weeks before our intended stay. They were very quick in responding to our queries and were kind enough to adjust the...

If i have a lot of chances to stay in this pension house then i'll do it again and again and again. The place is secured, cozy (homey) and most of all reasonably priced. Right in the midst of town proper but not on the busy and congested part of the city. Must stay place.

Got one Deluxe Suit and the Executive Suit, both Traditional Ilocano/Spanish style. The deluxe suit was just ok. The sink in the bathroom was leaking. The executive suit, however, was really really nice! Very spacious. Some staff were not that welcoming. Saramsam offers excellent food! Try their bagnet, poque-poque and their dinakdakan (Ilokano sisig)!

We really love the place. The room spacious and well-maintained. I love the location as it is near the downtown Laoag City. Room rate comes with breakfast and free wifi. Food at Saramsam was great! Thanks also to Jay for driving us around Ilocos. Kudos to all the staff for making our stay homey and memorable. Highly recommended and we...

I gathered that this place used to be a residential before it was turned into a pensionne house. Thus the decor speaks and breaths of the glorious days of old and still looking great even today. The toilet in the superior room is reminiscent of the batalan in the province. The antique furnitures compliment the 'balay' theme. The staff are...

Don't get lured by the pictures. The service is great and the rooms are big and relatively clean but the comfort is minimal. The backyard is full of barking dogs and chickens that won't let you enjoy more than 5 hours sleep. Obviously the acoustic isolation is non-existent. The reputation is due to the fusion restaurant next door that is...

Balay da Blas is reasonably priced but could improve on a couple of things. First, they didn't have a phone in the room so everytime you need room service or if you need to ask the front desk for anything, you had to go to the reception (or use your mobile phone if you don't want the exercise). Which leads...

We were billeted at the old building which reminds me of old houses. The interior decorations had old aparadors of the sinaunang panahon. It was a comfortable stay, staff were very polite. Would recommend this place.
