While we did not stay in Ganga Garden we visited it twice for dinner after getting a recommendation from a local. The food was so delicious, fresh and affordable. The Calamari was the best I've ever had and we'll definitely be returning to eat here again on our next visit to Sri Lanka. Additionally the staff were so friendly! The...

We arrived as a family and rented three rooms, all with view of the inner garden. Right upon arrival, we were received very warmly by the staff. There is a colonial feel to this bungalow where you can read books and laze around by the river. The New Year's Eve seafood buffet was rightly priced (3000 LKR per person) and...

pros: friendly staff, good breakfast with river view, good base for tours to Brief Garden, Big Buddha, Bentota beach and Beruwela fish market cons: dirty bathroom without ventilation or window - tiles need a good scrub, smelly room due to used and humid air from the bathroom, the owner drinking beer with his mates all day didn't leave a professional...

This would have been a good review - nice room, pretty terrace - but the manager (or whoever he was) was DEEPLY unpleasant when we checked out. There's nothing to do around here unless you have a car and definitely the poor relation area of Bentota. I wouldn't recommend the area and certainly not this hotel. We had naively trusted...

We was recommended this place by a local. We visited on a few occasions for lunch & dinner. The food was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and did a great job.. Corrine & Vera who are the owners made us very welcome. When we visit Sri Lanka again I will without a doubt book to stay here. Thanks to...

Really friendly owner and staff who are super accommodating. Chef makes a fantastic chicken curry 😊. Only 2 mins on a boat to a beautiful beach with a stunning temple or a quick 5 mins tuk-tuk to a lagoon on the beach. Great prices too. Peaceful location on the river with amazing sunsets and also not too far from the...

We stayed in Ganga Gardens for the last 3 days of our 3 week adventure around Sri Lanka. Having stayed in some shady places along the way... From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly smiles and made to feel comfortable by the owners Corrine and Vera. Our room was modern, clean and featured a lovely four poster...

Although I have previously reviewed Ganga Garden, I feel I must do so again. I attended the New Years Eve Buffet party and can only say it is absolutely marvellous. The choice of well cooked ,beautifully presented and plentiful food excellent. There was a choice of soup to start with and then everything from Lobster, Beef, Pork, German sausage, variety...

We found this lovely hotel by chance as our first choice was fully booked, but this turned out to be a blessing. Originally booked a week but ended up staying a further 5 nights and would have liked to stay longer! Rooms are basic but very clean. Staff are very friendly and honest. Waiters try hard but could do with...
