I must start by admitting that I hadn't meant to stay at Banpu. Had BA not had a three hour delay, we would have been able to make it to Ko Kood in one day. However, ferries to the island don't leave the mainland after 14:30, so due to the delay we were out of luck and needed to find... More

Although the SPA was under renovation, it was still a wonderful place to stay. I couldn't stop staring at the way the hotel was built...ON STILTS...in the WATER!!! I would suggest going to TRAT just to see this amazing hotel!

Far from city life what a good idea to stay short time at this superb in the nature resort where you can eat the best crabs. Fishing from your bungalow is possible. The staff can not be more courteous and the resort is huge able to accomodate corporate activities like seminars and conventions.... Try it you owe it to yourselves.

On booking.com it listed this resort as downtown Trat. Could not be further from the case. It is about 20 km outside Trat and the yuk tuks at the bus station rubbed their hands together in glee at the prospect of a very profitable fare. You really need to arrange transportation with the resort somehow or have a car. It... More

My wife and I wanted to visit Trat so on another booming site we found Banpu. The site said it was located close to the center of Trat. Well if 20 km outside Trat is the center then I am misinformed. Anyway we got to this resort and WOW. What a pleasant surprise. Quiet and serene on a lake this... More

We stayed 1 night here as our flight arrived in Trat too late to take the boat to Koh Kood /Kut. It was the closest place I could find to the boat pier and I knew we would be too tired to walk around a town so we didn't mind the out of the way location. The frustrating thing is... More

We stayed here as an overnight stop before heading to Ko Mak the following morning as we felt like something a bit more interesting than a guesthouse in central Trat. It was about a 20minute taxi ride to the Laem Ngop port, so fulfilled this aim nicely, although the price of the hotel organised transfer was overpriced relative to a... More

I've stayed at the Banpu resort twice, once in a bungalow and once in a garden room. The garden rooms are newer with a nicer bathroom and flat screen TV, however the beds are a little hard, even by Thai standards. The pool area is quite nice and the staff has always handled everything we've requested promptly.
