Stayed at Derek's with a friend. As two solo female travelers, I wouldn't return. It is isolated in the north of the island. We like to meet locals, and this place is far from the main village. The jungle trail is unlit, unmarked and confusing....More
Long over-due review, but wanted to be sure to post here. We visited last year to Little Corn Island. We pre-paid one night, but upon arrival, the owner acted as though we were a complete inconvenience. After a brief conversation about switching to a smaller...More

There is a communal bucket shower, which is a big barrel and you have a bucket to scoop the water out and over you. Our kids thought it was really neat. You do get towels in your cabana. We stayed in the Bottle House which has its own private bucket shower and the Beach House has it's own private one as well.
