We were at the hotel for a week. Some staff went above and beyond to make the stay amazing at the start of the trip (Martha, Joyce and Anna). Sadly there are also staff who are surly, rude and aggressive. There was an incident when...More

Hello to All and especially Mark the Manager, We are booked from the 10th December for two weeks to the Sultan Sands Bahari room but I have become rather confused about the various room types. On the hotel website the Bahari Room supposed to have a large balcony with chairs and a sofa as well as a sofa bed in the room. We partly chose this hotel to get this type of room as when we visited Zanzibar 10 years ago we had a similar set up and we loved it. We also loved Zanzibar so much that it has remained our dream location ever since. So now, I would just like to make it really nice again as we are returning for two big birthdays and with our daughter. I would really like to know how one would get that type of room that is shown on the website. The Bahari rooms on many travellers photos look smaller, with tiny balcony, and no extra sofa bed. I have written several emails to both the Sultan Sands and the Blue Bay but I am getting no reply from anyone....this is why I am posting this hoping for an answer....Thank you!!!
