Our family went to the Columbia Beach Resort last year and, to our surprise, we received a phone call from Cyprus while they were there: “You and Dad would love it, Mum, will you come with us next year?’What could we say? And how right they were! Initial impressions are great - large, cool marble halls with deightful receptionists (our particular one was usually Yelena - apologies if I’ve spelt your name wrong! - who was utterly charming, efficient and attractive and nothing was ever too much trouble: the best receptionist we’ve ever met! Not that we were trouble!)
Immediately a lovely surprise - we were upgraded to a Cape Suite, which was a huge and gorgeous room with separate bed and sitting areas divided by sliding doors, a bath room (with bath - hurray!) and lovely, well appointed dressing/luggage room, as well as two balconies facing different ways. And the view was to die for, an uninterrupted one right over the sea. Heaven!
There are several restaurants onsite and they are all excellent: the Apollo was particularly lovely for lunch by the sea (thank you, super George!) and we were especially fond of what our granddaughter called the Cat Restaurant, where beautiful CLEAN and well fed cats tried to seduce you for love and attention, not food: the owner has a special cat lady who looks after these ex strays plus kittens and they are just lovely - my granddaughter was enchanted. The food is especially good in the ‘fine dining’ restaurant to which we treated ourselves one night, where the atmosphere is particularly quiet, romantic and restful (and there are accredited babysitters onsite to be sure you have a good time - ours was a Snakes and Ladders fiend, which went down well!) If you fancy a change of scene, the Bunch of Grapes in the village was first class and can easily be reached by a ten minute taxi, arranged by the hotel.
There are two pools, one specifically for those who want to play and where excited calls, splashes etc are fine; there is also a baby pool both here and at the other one. It’s a lovely pool in its own right, but the other one is just beautiful, almost like an infinity pool, long and langurous in outline and full of pretty bushes etc to soften the outlines. The pool bar serves meals as well as drinks and these can be ordered at your sunbed by using the hotel app - luxury!
Cleanliness in this hotel is second to none: the pools have none of that black mouldy stuff you often see around filters and on the bottom in the grouting; in fact everyting everywhere looks as if it were made yesterday and it’s certainly cleaned daily.
The beach is pleasant and the water clean, but not much cop for snorkelling, since there’s quite an undertow and the sand is constantly stirred up; on the plus side, there are endless beautiful and rounded stones of different colours and types, which we enjoyed seeing and taking back to our rooms to study.
If we can go back to the Columbia Beach, we shall!

We recently came back from a stay at the hotel for 4 days. The hotel is quite secluded, with a private beach and plenty of walking spaces around the hotel which made it easy to social distance with other guests. We stayed in an executive suite with a sea view that had an exceptional view from our balcony and was extremely spacious and equipped with Molten Brown toiletries and hand sanitisers. The rooms were cleaned daily with a nighttime turndown service.
The plan we were on was 'Half Board', perfect for exploring and eating out in the day time for lunch. One thing that really stood out to me - was the food. Usually with Half-Board/All Inclusive plans, I tend to find the food lacks quality and seems buffet-style cheap. However, here you can tell it was really a 5 star hotel offering proper dine in restaurants with amazing quality food and an exciting menu. There was also lovely live music playing in the evenings which gave such a nice atmosphere.
All the staff were extremely welcoming, attentive and they always too to remember their guests which I thought was a great personal touch.
The gorgeous and large pool was a great feature of the hotel, looking out towards the private beach (also open to guests and perfect for sunbathing/doing watersports). It leads into their Spa which offers a range of treatments. I'd recommend trying the Elemis Thousand Flower Detox Wrap to help you really relax.
My only downside to this whole holiday was that I wasn't there for longer! I could easily live here

We have stayed several times at this resort and it never disappoints! The location is perfect, away from the mass hotels of Limassol, etc. Pissouri is a charming and welcoming village with several good restaurants. The resort has a sophisticated chill-out vibe that is suitable for both couples and families. Our daughter enjoyed the kids club and we were able to really disconnect for a few hours while she was there.
The resort manages to maintain a friendly, high level of service whilst respecting the COVID restrictions. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and really go out of their way to assist.
The breakfast is amazing, there is something for all dietary requirements and the staff will gladly whip up an omelette or pancakes, should you so desire. We dined twice at the Cape Aspero and the fresh grilled fish, pasta dishes and sushi were all delicious! The live music was an added bonus! The pool side menu is a bit pricey and could perhaps include a few healthier options.
The resort has several different room types that are priced according to size, location and whether or not it has been recently renovated. Our bathroom could probably use a little freshening up soon but we didn't mind as we enjoyed the location with sea view and next to the enormous main pool. The cleaning crew really does a great job.
As usual, we regret not staying longer and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

I stayed at the Columbia for two nights as a base for some intense road cycling trips around the area. It's a fantastic resort, maintained to a very high quality and feels very secluded thanks to its location in Pissouri Bay. The suites are massive and have a great carribean vibe and are really good value for money (particularly with Corona-related discounts!). I had an excellent sports massage in the Spa and the gym area is really high quality (with two brand new squash courts!).
While I wouldn't rate this hotel as highly as eg the Anassa in Akamas, I'd still recommend it for someone seeking an isolated beach escape in traditional Cyprus surroundings.

We only came for 3 days to celebrate a big birthday and even for such a short stay, this place is the perfect oasis. Starting from the hospitality to the generous rooms and guest service, everything worked out so smoothly. The first night we arrived we had dinner at the Apollo restaurant, surrounded by music and dance of a wedding that took place that night. At midnight there was a huge firework, it was truly magical. I recommend everyone to check out the spa. I had two spa treatments, one facial and one massage, both were a total bliss. During the day you can either enjoy the magical pool or jet ski in the sea, the water is clean and beautiful. There are two breakfast terraces, I recommend the one at the down pool at Cape Aspro restaurant which has a sea view. We also spent our third and last night there and had the most amazing dinner and evening. The food was excellent, we literally ate all starters on the menu and had the catch of the day- a very well prepared Seabass as main dish. Our waiters were both funny and entertaining and made up for the white wine that was a little too warm. The Covid restrictions were perfectly handled and you can even get tested in the hotel for 50 Euros which is a great service. Since we had a late flight back they permitted us a late check out without any fees and since they needed our room they even transferred us to another room. We truly had the most amazing and memorable time and this place will see us surely again-for a longer stay.

The Resort itself is very nice, the rooms are spacious and clean, we stayed at 2 different rooms, first at a 2-bedroom apartment with sea view at the side building, which was very nice with all modern equipments, only the air conditioning is very loud when it is turned on, even at the lowest level. Then we stayed in a pool villa room diretcly access to the main pool, which seemed a little aged comparing to the 2-bedroom apartment. The food is really great at all restaurants (especially the Bacchus Restaurant is super), only the breakfast does not offer a big variety and every day the same with no exceptions. There are some restaurants in walking distance outside of the resort, in Pissouri Bay though we tried only the Kastro Restaurant which was not close as good as the restraurants inside the Resort and up in the hills we visited the Hill View Restaurant in Pissouri, that was really good. We used the in room dining 2 times and the menu is big enough but there is no chance to get something aside the menu, if you have any special request (I asked if they could prepare anything with raw fish like a ceviche - they will not do it and say "only what is on the menu"....).
There are 2 pools, the main pool is very big and beautiful but this is meant to be the adult pool so if you come with children your are not allowed to do any games in the pool and supposed to not use any inflatables, the much smaller family pool is ok but just not the same as the main pool. The beach acces is good enough, the beach has no sand but big stones and for me it was not possible to walk barefoot into the sea as it hurt too much to walk on the stones. All together it is a very nice resort but very expensive and maybe for families with children there are better choices.

The first suite you stayed in was fully refurbished in 2017 and it has a more contemporary design while the second suite you moved to, has a totally different look, traditional, cosy and resembling a typical Cypriot village house, located in one of the "villas" surrounding the lagoon pool. We are glad you have enjoyed the food at our Restaurants, and about the food variety at breakfast, we are sorry it was not up to your expectations as usually our vast buffet is very much appreciated by our Guests and so are the options that can be ordered á la carte. As for the Room Service, we apologize for the response received upon asking for a dish out of the menu, we have a large selection of dishes on each Restaurant’s menu to choose from including Sushi; working on raw fish requires a safe length of time for marinating of one hour minimum, the Room Service attendant was probably not explanatory nor prompt enough to offer an explanation or to check with the Chef on anything else that could have been expressly prepared for you, please accept our apologies for missing this chance. Offering the luxury of 2 large swimming pools, our Pool Attendants are clearly instructed to ensure the west swimming pool guarantees a pleasant and quiet atmosphere hence we suggest Patrons to keep a moderate tone of voice and families with young children or those who would like to use large inflatables and have fun to enjoy instead the east pool which sizes are of 24mx10m not including the large attached to it. Children are welcome in the west lagoon pool however we only kindly ask to help us keeping a tranquil ambience there, also because due to the architectural structure of the villas around the same pool, sounds travels, moreover Guests having treatments at the Spa – next to the indoor pool – might complain about the disrupting noise. Our Resort is spread over 75.000sqm areas and includes 2 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, a large Spa with plenty of sport and relaxing facilities, 2 gyms, The Den Kids Club and a Crèche for babies, during the summer months we generally host families and they all very much seem to enjoy our place and the Kids Club to the point that they become our most affectionate little Repeat Guests, we are sorry you did not find our Resort suitable for your family. We’d planned to stay at Columbia Beach Resort before the pandemic and seeing some of the great reviews and posts on Instagram I was worried reality wouldn’t be as good as it looked online. How wrong I was, it really is an exceptional hotel and it exceeded all our expectations.
The rooms are amazing (we stayed in a two bedroom family suite), everything was spotless, the linen and towels were amazing quality and every little detail seemed to have been thought of.
The pools and location were lovely too, it is quite a big resort/hotel but it never felt impersonal. I think that is due to the staff and their level of service. Nothing was too much trouble and they were there when you needed them, for recommendations in the restaurants, etc, but their service was understated and not intrusive. You got the impression they wanted you to have a wonderful time and enjoy the resort, rather than just being there to earn money.
The restaurants and choice were all fantastic and the food whenever we ate in the hotel was brilliant, catering for a lot of different tastes. Yes you could probably go somewhere slightly cheaper or with all meals included but the quality and care taken with the food made it worth it, particularly the sushi, and so we ate in the hotel more than we’d planned and would go back in a heartbeat.
We’ve all said we’ll go back as soon as we can, and that’s not bad for a family of two adults and two teenagers! I would definitely recommend this hotel, and the resort and staff undoubtedly deserve their 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reviews.

We are just home from our stay at the Columbia Beach Resort. We live in Cyprus so have visited a lot of the hotels on I the island. Columbia Beach Resort is by far the best
As you arrive you are met by a member of staff who will direct you to a parking space. The check in procedure is simple. You are taken to the cocktail lounge where you receive a complimentary drink (any from the menu) while your luggage is being taken to the room. You are then whisked away on a golf buggy to your room.
The food is outstanding, the staff could not be any more helpful if they tried but are not overbearing. Our cleaner Karmen introduced herself and said if we need anything to just ask as she will be around most of the days. The calamari is the best Iv tasted, the sushi was one some of the best sushi Iv eaten and the fact that the bar is in the pool makes for a perfect day.
We enjoyed it so much we have book again for Christmas.
10/10 would recommend.

We’ve just returned from our October half term break and absolutely loved our stay at Columbia beach resort. The hotel was spacious, even though it was very busy, it never felt overcrowded. Our room + other facilities within the hotel were spotless clean, every single member of staff was very professional, attentive and friendly, food was delicious and freshly prepared on a daily basis, enough choice to pick from. It was the first time that we went for full board as we normally enjoy exploring local area however we didn’t regret it as were spoilt for choice. Kids loved their kids meals and the entartainment at kids club. I’d highly recommend it and would go back again, anytime. This was a fantastic resort that me and my husband stayed at recently for 5 nights. Upon finding out it was our anniversary, they upgraded us to an amazing executive pool view suite. We found them to be always accommodating and flexible with early check ins and late checkouts. The suites themselves deserve to be mentioned as they are so huge with a massive marble bathroom and a beautiful balcony. The resort is one of the most quaint and picturesque places we have ever stayed at. We went during their off season so only one 2 restaurants were open, one for breakfast and the other for dinner. But they were both amazing and the food was delicious, served very quickly and always with a smile. Our breakfast was delivered to our room everyday upon request and it was one of the best we have had. We also thoroughly enjoyed visiting the spa daily as well as the heated indoor pool. The design of the resort is so perfect that we hardly left the place! Every staff member was very welcoming and friendly. The place is spotless and |I love the little buggies that carry you around! (It is a huge place) Love the little beach at the back and the views it offers as well as the garden and lounge area that we surely would have made use of had it been summer! For us, visiting Cyprus in the future means staying at this resort. Thank you to the whole team at Columbia Resort for making our anniversary so perfect.

Hi our suite was an executive suite garden view on the West Side of the hotel. We could see the pool from our main balcony and we had a second balcony overlooking the mountain side
