Stayed here 2 weeks ago to attend a nearby wedding. The hotel exceeded expectations on most fronts. the owners were friendly, courteous and incredibly helpful with tips to make the most of our short stay.Staff mirrored the owners ethos. Typical hotel breakfast but the lunches and dinners were something else. Imaginative, modern cooking using the best of local produce. Small...

If you live or are staying in the area, the restaurant at the Hotel Perigord serves a sumptuous six/seven course lunch, which is well worth booking. A real lesson in hospitality and not a turkey in sight. Oysters, wild boar, sea bass and three different types of desert and very reasonably priced for the quality. The room is lovely and...

Small friendly hotel located in charming Charentais village. This was our second stay. The rooms are comfortable and adequate, although a bit vétuste. We had same room and after 4 years found the overhead light still not working. The personnel are lovely and attentive as well as welcoming. The highlight is the excellent restaurant, which serves classic food in an...

My friend and I enjoyed spa treatments by Rachel - absolute bliss! (Facial and body scrub/back massage). The 'menu de la jour' lunch that followed was extremely good, they could certainly afford to charge much more than 13.50€ per person. Excellent service, we were made to feel very welcome for our 'mums day off'. We will surely return and spread...

We were taken to this hotel by the pick up truck when our car broke down. A disaster was turned into a very pleasant experience. The receptionist Debbie was lovely, very warm and caring. The room was fine and dinner a delight. They could not have been more helpful next day, trying to get a taxi to Bordeaux to get...

This is a very good restaurant in Aubeterre, set not far from the river. The service is good to. Wonderful food and a good varied menu utilising wonderful produce from the region. We have dined here many times, which speaks for itself. Definitely worth the visit and Aubeterre is a beautiful place to visit too.

I have just read a review by a certain Nadia S!!! In my opinion this person must have an agenda against this hotel and owner. We regularly use this establishment and can honestly say that the hotel offers excellent facilities and the owner is one of the most pleasant people you could wish to meet. I hope this helps for...

I stayed for a couple of days in October. The staff were very welcoming and looked after me very well. I had a large double room which was clean and comfortable. The restaurant overlooks the pool area and is pleasant and spacious. The food was excellent - I chose the chefs recommendations and enjoyed every dish - the steak was...
