It's a cool place, very modern with a retro feel, ugly concrete on the outside but then so is the whole of Flaine. Inside it's all about the artwork and neat touches like the secret door marked Platform 9 and 3/4 that opens up to reveal a huge bar. We spent a lot of time in that place, particularly for the games (foosball, table tennis - though they need to get some new balls - and pool). My double room had a huge bed and a great view, while my mates stayed in a shared room with bunk beds, which had a kitchenette but was a bit lacking in things like a toaster or stocked mini-bar. We all loved the TV with hundreds of songs pre-loaded to play the videos. Breakfast was pretty decent though the scrambled eggs always seemed to run out and take ages to replace. The locker room to store skis etc was really useful, and next time we'd probably rent equipment directly from here. They let us use a shower room on our final day after skiing. Definitely a great addition to Flaine.…
A good central location in Flaine next to the pedestrian cable car to the lifts for the grand massif/ski to Flaine or a short walk to the lifts for Flaine. Local shop is well stocked and there are lots of restaurants to choose from. Loved the sauna and steam but missed a jacuzzi. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Would definitely recommend
Lovely modern hotel with great facilities for guests here to ski. Very nice pool and spa area. Varied well attended buffet breakfast. Attentive friendly staff. Clean hotel with a zany look. Rooms were on the small side but functional. There was nothing we didn’t like.
Just returned from a long weekend with a group of 11 young at heart middle-ager's, and I can not recommend this hotel enough. Lets start with the negatives. The hotel is at the opposite end of the central area so returning at the end of the day's skiing was a bit of a trek (we are normally spoilt with ski-in ski-out). Apart from that the room we had was a bit tight (although well maintained and equipped) and that's about it. On to the positives - the hotel is stuffed with humour, fun and facilities - quirky, unique, with very friendly and helpful staff. The bar was great (including pool table, table football, video games, and even a couple of Karaoke rooms to rock up and let your hair down! I hear the pool and spa area was very good, but with table service in the bar I never actually made it there! Brekky was a varied and tasty buffet, ski lockers for all - literally nothing else I could pick holes in and loads to praise. Within 10 mins of arriving our group were all talking about returning and nothing changed that view throughout our stay - we will be back!…
Fantastic hotel with plenty for everyone young or old. Food and drinks were great and the staff were excellent - great fun too. Location is perfect. The rooms are good quality with coffee etc but maybe a bit small for 2 people with luggage. My advice would be to opt for one of the larger ones to give yourself a bit more space.
Excellent facilities and staff. Buffet is good. Free pool table and other activities to keep kids entertained. Intersport skishop is right beside hotel and gave great service at much better rates than hotel skishop.
We were a group of 14 staying in Dec’22 and we had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet food was great with plenty to choose from and replenished frequently during the service. The bar area is comfortable & good fun (especially the karaoke booths.) The spa area is nice for post ski relaxing. We would definitely go back.
The location is amazing, the staff are very friendly and the experience at the hotel was great. The ski resort is very close and accessible. You have many option for winter sports. We will come back. Thank you
A good family hotel. Great facilities. Amazing location. Nice breakfast. Comfy bed. Good shower/bath. But most importantly, the nicest staff. Thanks Rockypop! Ps the family room with a double bed and two bunks works well for a family.
Hotel opened 2021 and reopened for the season Dec22. Excellent location on the lower level of Flaine. Perfecf for ski lifts, restaurants, supermarket and medical centre. Hotel staff are fantastic. Hotel is fun and quirky. Free pool table, table futbol and hotel chocolate on tap making my 12 year old very happy. The bar area has a great view and a roaring fire but get down early if you want a family seating area as it gets very busy. We were half board but didn’t use it as we have friends staying elsewhere in resort and we chose to eat out with them most nights. When booking HB was the only option available. Rooms are well equipped, modern. Our son had bunk beds in a separate area off the living area with a curtain for privacy. Beds very narrow so a bigger teen may struggle. Ski room excellent with lockers. Night 3 we decided to eat just the 3 of us in the sushi restaurant. Menu is fairly limited. No sashimi which is my husband’s favourite so that was a shame. The sushi restaurant with its authentic sunken tables is off the main buffet area. Decor is great. We asked as we were HB if our son didn’t like anything on the sushi menu could he eat off the HB buffet which we’d paid in advance for. The maitre’d said yes of course. We took our seats in restaurant. Waiter took our order as only sushi on starter menu we informed the waiter our son would get some bread off the buffet. He said this wasn’t allowed. We explained we’d paid for it and been told it was ok. He said no but he would ask the manager. The manager was called but also said no. Following a conversation with my husband she relented. And hubbie went to buffet and got some bread and butter for our son. Each main comes with a bowl of rice and a bowl of veg. We are a fussy bunch I know. But we asked if my husband could have 2 veg and no rice as he doesn’t eat rice. Told no. A real shame. As these little concessions don’t hurt but are an important part of customer service. My husband hates double dipping so sharing a soya sauce bowl with even his other half is a no for him. And I like to mix a lot of wasabi in with my soya. He asked if he could have a separate bowl. He was told no put your soya sauce on your plate. Told no more bowls. Then we asked for ketchup for our son. He’s 12 and wanted it with his yakatori beef. Guess what it was brought in a little bowl which a minute earlier they didn’t have. A real shame as the food wasn’t bad but put us off. After paying the bill we moved to the buffet area and ate dessert. Decided not to ask incase we were told no. Would definitely recommend hotel, area, staff. And would also recommend sushi house to those of you who aren’t picky. But maybe by our next visit the restaurant staff will have read our review and chilled out a bit.…
